Media Madness
Aside from this site I pretty much now ignore any other media, be it whatās on telly or in the newspapers or any other social media when it comes to anything about football. (other than watching the games) Ironically, when the footy season started I also chose to no longer watch the news on tv at night time . It was really beginning to make me depressed. Outcome being I look forward to watching the games come Thursday night and onwards as well as attending our games. For me ignorance is now bliss when it comes to not knowing what is going down in the commercial entertainment industry called the AFL, as well what is happening in the real world. Go Dees!

What gets you excited about the club?
No I wasnāt being literal but Iām not sure how old you are but itās a bit rich for you to suggest that I should find a new interest. But just to rub it in, at least I was there to watch us win the last one. Be a bit rich of me to suggest that if you didnāt make it over to WA you perhaps werenāt trying hard enough, so I wonātš

What gets you excited about the club?
I get excited with anticipation all pre season thinking of the possibilities of what may happen. It is all good, we havenāt lost any games (neither has anyone else) Each game day I also get excited. The possibility of what may happenā¦ā¦then unfortunately about 10 minutes into the games of late, the excitement finishes. Sad but true. But then there is always the next game, the next season. Except for one or two years, sadly this is how it has been for me for over half a century.š

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Sadly, I really canāt disagree with you. Butā¦..2022 our injuries didnāt help us (but we made the top four). In 2023, we again made the final four but we managed to lose both games that we had won. Sooo close And 2024, poor. Soā¦.I have to agree with you. ā¹ļø

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
No matter what may happen to him now or in the future, I will always remember him as the coach that got us our first flag in over half a century.

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Totally agree that with us you can get a good idea if we are a chance very early on in the game. Somehow I find it is easier to make the call when actually at the game as opposed to watching it on the telly I normally make the call at the 10 minute mark. Last week sadly, it was fairly obvious after 5 minute.

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Kozzie owes us, to be quite frank, aside from the game against GWS in round one, the whole team owes us

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Geelong
How do I feel about tonight? Generally speaking when it comes to football Iām an optimist. But sadly this year footy which is like a religion to me has just become just a game and after this week I might even end up hating the game. The only upside to all this is I tend to get things wrong. I picked the Dees to win in the first three weeks, I now have tipped them to lose. Hope Iām wrong again.

NON-MFC: Round 04
It was very difficult to try and explain to a couple of my Collingwood mates that by barracking for Carlton to lose did not mean that I was barracking for Collingwood.

Melbourne Fans Mindset
I believe Hawthorn were zip and three this time last yearā¦ā¦.so I have a glimmer of hope, but just a glimmer, that we will still play finals this year Going to put off taking the reality pill for as long as I can.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Totally agree Six word summary of MFC Full of promise, continues to disappoint. Iām normally an optimist, a glass half full type person. At the moment the glass looks bone dry.

NON-MFC: Round 01
All in all a good night last night. Happy for Yze. Another way to look at it is if Collingwood for some reason no longer existed, Carlton would be āitā.

NON-MFC: Opening Round 2025
And not only lose, they got flogged. GWS 200%. Ferals 50% ā¦. and Round one hasnāt even started. There is a god.

Club Emblem
I reckon this looks great but unfortunately every time I look at it it also makes me think of Carltonā¦..this is not goodā¹ļø

2025 Membership
How is this for luck. Used to get general membership for a number of years for my kids and me. At the start of 2021 one of my kids came out of the closet so to speak and told me he had for a number of years been a Port Adelaide supporter. Obviously this brought great shame to our family. (My therapist says itās good for me to talk about these things) From memory just before the Collingwood game that same year, I took up an offer from MFC to upgrade membership to a GF guarantee. Took up the offer, I really thought that we were a chance as well as a bit of FOMO. I think that week Covid also meant we couldnāt attend any more home games in Vic. Such is. Cut a long story short, went off travelling up north and rather than head home went first to SA then WA (legally) and managed to attend all our finals games including the big one! Feel now obligated to renew membership each year without question (Iām on auto renewal). As an aside, everyone talks about the GF over there in 2021. The game against Geelong a fortnight earlier (where we smashed them) was right up there too. The atmosphere was electric. WA supporters obviously hate Geelong as well. Go Dees! .

Trac cracked rib
The good old Feral Hun. Sometimes I think they are not even sure when they are peddling disinformation, misinformation or simply making a mistake (which I think they did this time)
