  1. This is driving me nuts; I have bitten my proverbial tongue but... Three dots in a row is an 'ellipsis' and it is used to replace superfluous text and I use it as a way of leading the reader to a 'open question' or statement. But three commas in a row is not anything. It is usually followed by the 'sticky keys' popup that comes up wondering whether you need help easing use of the keyboard and avoid injuries. ,,, Just no.

    He is stalling.

My problem is I don't think the faith in Oscar is being repaid. If we are putting together a backline from a healthy list, I don't know if either is in it.

    It's about 97%...
  6. What a time to throw this into the fire... I would prefer Hogan stays and you go.
  7. There is no negative emoji to put onto posts so I will say this: Those that want to trade Hogan are betraying their lack of footy knowledge and intelligence. And they are also revealing they don’t know what ā€˜drives’ football clubs. Hogan playing hurt for the team must give a little bit extra for the players and he has my appreciation and admiration as a supporter. He was also in the discussion for AA earlier in the year. Beggars belief some of your neuroses, Land.
  8. Is sore and fighting through it. He is a beast. We are not making the most of our two fantastic tall forwards. Leave him alone.

Titus is good. @Big Demon is bad. 2 weeks? Roundhouse off the ball that was hard enough to cause ā€˜unviable’ teeth... Go watch UFC.

Not a great look, out for the year, love to get him to the Dees.

So the poster formerly known as Deeluded, who is currently using the moniker that sounds out 'deviate,' is stretching sane and coherent thought... How does anyone react to that anymore?

    I don't know, I have my moments.
  13. I still think the positives far outweigh the negatives. And he is a scapegoat right now for our issues. Our mids are frontrunners and until they work hard back against good teams - we are nowhere. It has little to do with Jordan Lewis. PS. I appreciate what Lewis has done the last 2 years - he has almost directly filled the role of two of our most important players the last two years; Viney and Lever. And as @america de cali points out - and we need - he is very unMelbourne in his demeanour...

$600k is not going to do it... The cap is $12.8m next year. $600k is not big anymore.

    Different boys club?

I know. But some of you are searching for reason where there is none. He refuses to be sensible and that is his choice - not much we can do to change it when he does it so willfully.

I’m in IT and here we have this fantastic feature allowing sane posters to ignore those not so fortunate and most are not using it... So frustrating!

In a vacuum - this looks a great appointment. The Jackson shadow looms large because of his success and the promotion of his commandants to his throne. My only concern is that Pert comes in and realises the success of the previous admin and doesn’t think to stamp his authority in the wrong ways. As for those that were overlooked - they can see this as an opportunity to learn under a great operator or they should look beyond from October.
  19. I thought Lewis was great yesterday. When I was watching off the footy he was invariably the designated loose in the absence of Lever and the fact we couldn’t afford to move Hibberd off Sidebottom. Buckley really took Goodwin to school yesterday... but that is another thread. In an interesting aside - Lewis has to do more than we would want him to do when Viney went down last year and now history may repeat with Lever. I am very comfortable having someone like him back there. Really think the OP doesn’t like him and is waiting for any and every to blast him. Sad.
  20. North of the wall... (GoT reference)
  21. It would be utterly remarkable, and lend credence to the 'sleeping giant' fever dream we all have about the supporters that have been subdued by years of mediocrity emerging from the cold.
  22. The impressiveness of it comes from the fact they are 18 and 21 respectively - this is not a couple of role players plucked from State leagues. They are expansive, skilful talents.
  23. What a level headed bloke. Hope he gets a shot early in the season.
