Well if this is the case I attended Training Monday. Both trained so does that count as close contact with the rest of the squad?? Stand by for more changes AND Fallout

SERIOUS??

Then that is not what I or many here would want to hear. T Mac would want to deliver BIG TIME

Smoke and Mirrors

Ben Brown has been really good in the first two games with his leading patterns and strong up and down the field work. he could have had 4 or more week before last. Weeds was very strong in the air and could not have done much more other than kick a couple more that he should have. Those two should be certainties. T Mac has been very ordinary in three games so if it is down to form... He goes. Up the other end Lever is an automatic in and we need Hunts Run. Smith has been more or less a Revelation down back so far and he offers so much more than Tomlinson at this piont. So for me its BB for T. Mac and Lever for Tomlinson.

Great to hear ur observation I will observe again. Cheers P.F

I tried to ring the club today as a concerned member and enquire what the club intends to do about this off the ball incident in which Mitch Brown was injured. I got a voice mail, leave a message. I'm serious about this there should be a full investigation. Mitch Brown may have been on the cusp of senior selection , but that pails into insignificance if an off the ball incident occured. Player wellbeing no 1! JVR no idea whey he didn't suit up. He trained strongly today! Casey from Casey have you got any news on Mitch Brown??
-
So would I. Smith is gaining confidence and is, for all the reasons you have suggested a better option going forward, IMO

Ok, I dont know why he didn't play last week, but have seen him at training and I have been very impressed with several things 1 He is like Fritta in that he is elusive 2 He takes a very nice lead up mark which reminds me of Naughtin in that he seems to float and hang suspended for a while, I think you would refer to this as timing 3 He could develop in a Hybrid Gunston type and so if you think a bit of Fritta, Naughtin and Gunstan you should get an opinion of the amalgam that is Jacob Van Rooyen. Question is who would he replace? Spargo?? Is he ready,?? Well was Rob Flower ready when his Dad, Alan took the call from Noel Mc Mahon when he was 17 and considered too slight. Certainly I know Alan Flower was extremely concerned that in the Hurly burly that was then a vigorous game that he may get hurt. Is he ready?? Hnmm he will be a great player and I can see why we went after him. He is more ready than some, but I ask the question, who would he replace?

I think you are being premature writing of Smith, he has been fantastic and better than Tomlinson. If anyone is under the pump it will be T.Mac who if as expected BBB Comes back could well be out vs Port, as Weeds did all that was asked of him.
-
Tracc moved well and showed no discomfort or niggle, Saw Chocko in conversation with Luke Dunstan for a few minutes early in training and I think they will take him over to Adelaide for insurance.

Don't ya get it Uncle??? BACK TO THE FUTURE! LOL

"I wish I knew where I wanted to be where I wanted to be where I was today" Just another day out at Beautiful Casey fields today Demonlanders, coolish day some minor precipitation around. The endless drone of the school sports adjacent, did nothing to drown out the crecendo of the largely techno Music emanating from the P.A system and although some of the songs were likable compared to other occasions The rhetorical cataclysmic monotone of the house musak was still somewhat annoying. You know the stuff..... "Went to the Party, Had some Bacardi, went to the disco , all dressed as Cisco, took a swig of drink, which forced me to think, yeah Im here baby, come and back me, before they ready to sack me! Anyway on to training... hold on, what is that Sound???? Crikey, oh wow! Is that a Delorean??? Oh no couldn't be , could it!? Picket Fence " Doc, Marty, What are you doing here?" Doc, " Where are we and who are you"? Picket Fence, " I am known around these parts as The "Picket Fence" Marty, "I don't see any Pickets around here, strange name" Picket Fence, "You don't know half of it" Doc " Great Scot, Marty what do the time sensors say" Marty, "Hang on Doc..... 4th April 2022 1.41 pm 2022 DOC WE HAVE GONE INTO THE FUTURE" Doc, "GREAT SCOT not only time but space as well, Where are we"? Picket Fence "You are in Australia, and this place is Casey Fields training ground of the mighty Melbourne Demons" I do training reports see over there, that's the Dees training." Doc " Picket or whatever you are called, I need to find a power source measuring 1.21 Gigawatts of power to get us back to the future" Picket Fence" Relax Doc, Marty, I have all the power you need" Marty "Where"? Picket Fence " As everyone knows now Electric powered cars are almost a way of life, just hook up the Delorean, drain all available power thus descending Casey into darkness and in no time you will be on your way." Doc" Of course, this is something I have dreamed about and its all coming back to me, I was hanging something above my toilet, slipped , hit my head on the porcelain and I had a vision Picket Fence, " I know this line Doc, Ive seen the movie a million times, THE FLUX CAPACITOR"? Doc " Not quite right, "THE FLUX CAPACITOR MRK 2 WITH IMPULSE GIGAWATTERS SOLARISED AND DEODORISED, WITH ELECTRODES" T.M Marty " This script is getting wackier and crazier by the minute" Picket Fence "Agree... Ok here's the deal, You guys hang out with me I'll finalise the Training report and I'll give you a tow to the nearest Power station, deal?? Doc " Well Ok, these boys sure look good, Marty "Heavy Duty Doc" One other thing the roads around here are diabolical, Road works, Potholes a DEESGRACE! Doc "Roads???? Where were going we don't need any.... ROADS"! ABSENT Mitch Brown, also didn't notice Jake Melksham, BBB. Jake Spencer also a notable absence. ON MODIFIED DUTIES Michae Hibberd, Oskar Baker and Deakyn Smith at some stage looked to be sitting out a drill or so NOTABLE TRAINERS (full training) SKILLS DRILLS AND MANOUVERS Interestingly the Mid fielders and Forward lines came out first and completed a session of midfield Center Bounce set ups and set plays for around 15 -20 minutes. Also of interest Luke Dunstan was in this group, but no other Casey players. The Forwards were completing set shot routines from various distances. Squad then went inside for about 10 minutes before reappearing and completing a pretty solid session , which I think would be the main session seeing as we play Thursday Night SKILL A Each player had a partner roughly positioned 15 Meters away kneeling down it was stand and in one movement deliver pass, This then was Stretched out progressionally until 40 meters away. Another interesting aspect was players had to spin 3 and 4 times and pivot and dispose of the ball after doing "The ring a ring a Rosie" SKILL B This is a very Melbourne maneuver that I have seen before and is replicated in games, Using the 3 and 4 man weave, players overlap , handball and then set up projectile kick into oncoming players who do exactly the same thing . It not unusual to mix this up by going to the next group or to handball back to originator. This is a drill of beauty and when we do this in games leads to the exhilarating runs and carry that when we play well obliterates the opposition. SKILL C, D, E,F These were multidisciplinary events which had groups of 4, 5, 6 7, 8 doing a myriad of small discrete open and cloze setups. It might have been Clarry, Vines, and Tracc doing breakaways in stoppages or Forwards practicing leading patterns, In tight handball and keepings of drills. At any time there were about 9 or 10 things happening SKILL G BLITZKRIEG KAMAKAZI BALL Players alternated between pink shirt harassers and players in a glorified keepings of routine HIGHLIGHTS AND PLAYER WATCH Probably the best thing to see was Jake Lever participating in full training and he looked very good. Unless he pulls up sore I'm sure he will play Thursday night. Likewise, Harrison (Tom) Petty ain't a heartbreaker no more looked very good on the track and unhampered by his injury. Kade Chandler is an interesting player, seems to have some tricks, kicked a couple yesterday looks a likely type, who trained well. Likewise Jacob Van Rooten, Blake Howes, Judd McVee and Andy Moniz-Wakefield continue to impress. Taj Woewodin is a nice size and continues to learn the caper. All in all and energetic session and one which looks to be preparing us well for the game against Port Adelaide Thursday night. Minimal injuries and the likelihood of both BBB and Jake Lever coming in will cause selectors pleasant headaches. Righto Doc, Marty lets get you "BACK TO THE FUTURE" P.F

Saw Nathan Browns first game vs Carltank years ago, shock of blond hair and Insane courage. Could play!🤩
-
Mitch Brown TKO vs Bombers in a off the ball incident which I would hope is thoroughly investigated
-
T Mac has next to zero mobility and has the turning circle of the Titanic. Three very average games means he is relegated. Definately keep Weeds who was solid and of course BBB comes straight back. At the other end Lever for Tomlinson seems like a formality. Chandler to replace Bedford as Super sub would be the only other change!
-
Just saw very tailend of it and looked very bad. VFL MUST act on this. Player subbed of and took no further part in game. WATCH this space
-
Can somebdy watching the Sunday footy show please give me a summary of commentators view and votes ? As I am out and forgot to record it Many thanks P.F
-
I would hope the VFL launch a full investigation into the off the ball hit on Mitch Brown and if they dont the club should complain to the AFL/VFL .
-
Looks like Mitch Brown is off after that off the ball incident
-
Smith has just played his best game, in a season where he is gaining confidence. I would not drop him in any way shape or form! Tomlinson, on the other hand is much more vulnerable! T Mac Definately on notice and he could go if BBB is over his Covid.

What they are saying at Bomberland
picket fence replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
HERE YA GO DEMONLANDERS...... ENJOY LATEST FROM INJECTIONDON LAND 1 We should have picked Oliver! 2 My smoke alarm battery has just started beeping. The night has gone from bad to worse. 3 Brayshaw 20 marks is embarrassing 4 Their mids ran circles around is all night. 5 Parish has lost his hunger. 6 They are clearly the better side Their polish ball in hand miles ahead of us. 66 inside 50’s their way to our 39. The fact we remained in touch despite the weight of ball they had fwd prob wouldn’t happen too often. Their mids flogged us really for possessions. Winning at the contest and using it far better around the ground. 30+ from both their wingers who are gut running machines both offensively and defensively Another random observation. Langdon time on ground 100%. For 30+ touches, a freak goal that ended us, and a zillion kms ran. We need to get fitter if we are going to get to that top echelon. Theirs Petracca 92% Oliver 88% Brayshaw 87% Viney 74% -
Agree in fact Jackson gives the midfielders more of a chance of separation due to his better taps than MAX who really makes the Mids work harder than what they should for clean ball and ultimately, clearances!
-
DUNSTAN!!

They might kick a goal or few! Forward pressure is great, BUT would like them to hit scoreboard more often
