Otherwise known as ‘Mr September’! Absolute legend I might say too! -
Hunter getting another deal? Different from what everyone else is suggesting...

Libby Birch - We Love You
Great Northern Summer replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
A positive of her departure is we didn't have her as an on-ground announcer for our home games this season. She used to shout through the microphone. -
the chewing gum too is definitely a point of admiration. Like his coach. I like it. He might not if he choked on it though.
-
Different scenarios, but both top 4 sides losing in straight sets by single figure margins when dominating both games.
-
Go Lions! What a comeback. GWS would have had the game sealed if the bloke didn't play on and kick it off the ground in the goal square, would've been a certain goal and all over!
-
Gav Robertson and Steve Waugh! Don't they know you?

Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread

The people have been listened to, thankfully. Great to hear about the external review. Will be interesting to see the fallout... -
Are we delisting Woewodin despite him being contracted?

I was in Lagos and Albufeira last week. Maybe a bit early on that one… Could easily live in the Algarve though.

PREGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
Great Northern Summer replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why? Because of off-field issues? -
Our older players can get stuffed. Sick of people defending Oliver too… wish I was paid $1m plus performing (or shall I say giving an effort) like that at work
-
Where was the holding the ball there? Ridiculous not paid
-
Irrelevant issue but geez I far prefer the back of our jumper in that shot than now, more red and the number over the red…
-
Does she? You have a totally different take on her than what I have. Ignored me countless times when I’ve walked past her about to say hello. Comes across as someone with a superiority complex.

Christian Salem - Elite or Good Ordinary

The sort of player we need to move on, if we can get something reasonable back whilst he still has currency. If we don’t move on it, and other similar players, we’ll hit a massive cliff. Hawthorn has done it perfectly and now are probably closer to a flag than us - who would have ever thought. -
I cannot remember for the life of me the last time a player playing for a Victorian team requested a trade home to South Australia. Truly bizarre. Maybe Wanganeen? It just never really happens.
-
No, somehow managed to avoid that. I know that’s more common but more healable too.

I suspect Spargo has achilles tendinopathy. It’s a pain in the neck of an injury. I’ve battled through it for a decade, being a competitive runner. Generally it’s an ‘over 30s’ injury so he is very young to experience it. It can be season ending and career threatening.
-
Troy Wilson was even worse than both of them without doing anything. Half a dozen blokes ended up with long term injuries colliding into him in his first season. Noting, he didn’t play for MFC, but was a legend.
-
I'll put an asterisk next to your comment and one next to mine *In my opinion...

John is a regular contributor on one of the Melbourne Football club supporters facebook pages. He's certainly very very passionate about the club still and follows every moment.

Avoiding Collingwood was hardly an issue. Trying to forget about it now. We should have won that game. If we did finish 2nd we would have played the Lions anyway, at the MCG, which really wouldn’t have been any easier. Especially when we can’t kick at goal.

Going to be a bit petty here, but I preferred the numbers overlapping the red on the back rather than sitting completely below it all on the navy. It's what I grew up with and what we had until a few years ago (maybe 2017?). We should go back to it.
