  1. Then he is a star! It sounded great and showed that, when we’re all on the same page, our support is as good as anyone’s. My English team (Sunderland) has a bitter rivalry with Newcastle, the Magpies. We delight in the acronym FTM. It’s why my Dad chose the Demons back in the 60’s because they were, at the time, Collingwood’s natural rival. He hated all things black and white. I’m celebrating in style over here and the warm pommie beer is tasting like absolute nectar. We owned them today. FTM.
  2. It travelled across the North Sea too. Kudos to the poster who last week said s/he’d be starting the chant near the end if we were ahead. If it was you today, hats off. Sounded awesome.
  3. Putrid. It’s not working Goody ffs.
  4. Same. Out all day so I recorded it and had been ‘avoiding’ the score so I could watch it ‘as live’ this evening. All went well until a bloke in a St. Kilda jacket walked past me at the station. Wtf? I mean, this would be an unusual sight in London but in northeast England?? He saw my surprised look and asked if I went for the Saints? My quick reply of “no, Melbourne” proved my undoing as he promptly told me the Dees had just lost. Schoolboy error. Anyway, I’ve read this thread now so won’t be watching us getting humped by the umps.
  5. With about 3 minutes to go in the 4th Fritta made a half-hearted challenge inside 50 and I was cursing him - they broke away but coughed it straight back and 20 seconds later Fritta pops up with the classy finish from Petracca’s handball. Kinda sums him up.
  6. A few things to work on but a 54 point win when not at your best is a good sign. At least the umpires weren’t a factor either - just 24 frees.
  7. Change petition now garnering worldwide attention with my signature in England. Forwarded it to my mate who’s a North London Lions player who’s passing it on to their squad WhatsApp group. 😁 Free the Roo One. Am so glad the club has appealed this.
  8. Just woke up. Celebrated the fact I’m still breathing. Checked in here and… Woohoo!!! Simply fantastic news.
  9. 9/9 for me in the tipping. Wish I had £97k on it.
  10. In fairness, this was after the siren when Max had to kick over the mark so the encroaching Cats couldn’t affect the play. Was the 50 paid last night because Cumberland could, in theory, have played on allowing Jake to take advantage of being where he was?
  11. Just watched the replay/caught up with this thread while you lot slept. Certainly share the collective disdain for the umpires. That non-50 (and likely goal) to ANB and the HTB against Gus when he got boot to ball…dearie me. There has to be an agenda, even if subconscious. Today was never going to be straightforward against a desperate opponent and on a big stage. Richmond have had a tough draw and they could yet see off some of our rivals down the stretch. And Freofall of course. Today was a struggle but we ground out the win when challenged so credit where it’s due. I’m still buzzing anyway, particularly after last week.
  12. Fantastic spectacle. Now let’s rip into them.
  13. Yep. There was another yesterday which a couple of us highlighted on the non-MFC thread. Unacceptable. Need a line like the ones they draw for VAR offsides in the EPL/SPL. System needs to be [censored]-proof because it’s currently administered by idiots. Fritta’s was a goal.
  14. Saw that. Called touched but it was behind the line, if touched at all, yet goal ump says he thinks it’s a behind then score review inexplicably goes umpire’s call. Made a pig’s ear of another a minute later but the score review got that one right.
  15. Someone had a word with the umpires at half-time. This is shocking.
  16. Really have bought into the narrative haven’t they? HTB/incorrect disposal rules different for him.
  17. My introduction to footy was at North Williamstown State School circa 1962 when Wednesdays in the footy season saw everyone roll up in their team’s jumper for afternoon PE. Everyone except the dumb pom, that is. Anyway, the playground was an absolute sea of Footscray jumpers, with a smattering of Seagulls and a few others. There was just one Demon jumper despite Melbourne being very good at the time. At least there were two the following week. 😁
  18. Jayden Hunt goals. 16 points. You never know ;-).
  19. 2-1 against (at least) two Top 4 contenders. Think most would’ve taken that.
  20. 6. Grundy 5. Hunter 4. Oliver 3. Rivers 2. Lever 1. Petracca
