  1. Are Grundy and Moore playing injured or do they just don’t  give a flying fruitbat? Done absolutely squat. And as I speak, Grundy pops up for a consolation. Pendles spent as well.

  2. Doggies should be booking the Hotham chalets because, boy have they got some downhill skiers in that team. Daniel McCrea, Bruce Schacke, Treloar - put them under pressure and out come the poles

Nearly forgot Smith. Bet Naughton doesn’t get a clear run at the ball against us either.

  3. Work colleague (Collingwood supporter) got into me one day about owning a Range Rover and renting a chalet at Hotham during footy season.

I replied that at least the value of my car didn’t fluctuate (had to tell him what that means) depending on how much petrol was in the tank. And by the way, we Dees supporters don’t rent, we own. And we don’t let our 14 year old daughter smoke at the dinner table in front of her kids.

  4. I am not surprised that Weid and BBB didn’t get a gig this week. I watched the game against Box Hill and thought BBB looked rusty and the Weid got a few softies. Win or lose this week, we should get a bucketload of ”learnings”, with a pretty soft draw to follow to ease the big boys back into the side. No flags awarded in April to my knowledge.

  5. Not a gReat fan of AFL360 but enjoying watching Collingwood, cCarlton, Saints Suns getting the living suitcase kicked out of them by these guys, as well as On The Couch. Also content to fly under the radar to an extent after the pasting we have received over the last couple of years.

I love the ins. Hibberd for Jetta, Petty for May and M.Brown for Fritsch. I think we should account for the Hawks comfortably but it won't be that easy.

No games going to be easy this year. Pleasing aspect is that my mates looked at each other after the win against the Pussiecats and said “ Jees the had a real crack, didn’t they!”

This reflects Dermies comment the prvious game against GWS about Oliver's tag.

Dermie sees tags as a compliment and just another player to beat, which is the mindset he suggested Oliver could take on. He said Olivers eilite enough to just play through the problem.  Seems for certain Petracca is.

Olivers performamnce on Satuarday, still with Cats hanging off him at clearances suggest he might have takne this approach.

I thought Oliver dealt with the tag beautifully on Sunday . He took O’Connor well away from the circle, then pushed off him to the contest instead of being clogged in at the tap, so not being held in at the contest. And as someone else has noted, hit the contest at speed. Do I detect a growth in football IQ in the lad?

Well done to the MCG for closing the top level of the southern  and ponsford stand last week (where most seats are under cover) despite it raining for most of the game.

We got stuck in the northern stand, right in the teeth of the southerly buster, while our normal reserve seats on level 2 in the southern stand were unoccupied. Not only that, at the end of the game the bar was closed! We were told only bars open on that side in that block were in the mcc members area. Thanks a freakin lot, whoever was responsible for that debacle. If this state of affairs continues much longer, might be spending games at home.

  9. I can’t see how the MRP can do anything but make a statement early in the season. If they do, and he gets at least three, he will have been backed over by the karma bus after the three card trick that  he and the crows pulled to get Jack Trengove suspended for three. And he played the next week! Sorry, my personal dislike for the man showing.

  10. My mates and I have a list that we call the Coach Killers. Unfortunately most of them will probably play the first round due injuries. OK, so we get some midfield grunt back but our forward line consists of a tall we tried to get rid of, a beanpole, a second season kid and a bunch of undersized B-graders.

    Deep doo-doo

  11. Richmond remind me of Brisbane during their threepete - they always seemed to get more than their fair share of 50/50 balls. Maybe just a higher proportion of footy iq in the team or sheer [censored], who knows.

Wouldnt mind that Bolton kid in our team.

  13. How many years has Viney been at the club and no coach has got hold of him and absolutely bashed him until he ldeveloped a right side. Should have been told “ you dont kick on your left until further notice, if ya do its 40 pushups and 50 laps”
