The only political comment I would make here is never trust a politician from any party. They are all the same. Untrustworthy and unreliable.

Going to be hard to pick 3 from here. Jags, Patriots, Browns

Any houses left standing?

Do you know if a funded feasibility study been done on the MGC precinct project?

I hate the cats but rather than whinging about how they get money, and we don’t (because they obviously canvass/lobby better than us for their club. they've been a well-run club for a long time) we should acknowledge our own ineptitude. How can we not even have a location secured after decades of homelessness. We are where we are because of a number of useless boards. And I’m not too optimistic about our prospects either. Government largess has dried up because of economic conditions and who know when conditions will improve/change. MGC precinct looks dead in the water, so I really hope Caulfield works out. If not, then we are right back where we have always been, homeless with no prospects. Kate Roffey needs to get her finger out already.

After our insipid straight sets exit I have no interest in watching the remainder of the finals

we've been profitable the past 2 years so no operating deficit to fund per cashflow statement there has been a $5.5m investment in property plant and Equip (capex) this year. I presume this is the money spent on Gosch's paddock. This is money that needed to be spent imv so i'm ok with it. Worth noting that the FF generated $833k interest income (see note 3 fin asset income). These are a healthy set of numbers so i don't think the financials will be a fruitful angle of attack for you. Club culture is a different story. Reckon you're on firmer ground criticising the club in that regard

Presumably the $34m refers to Bentleigh and Leighoak combined sales proceeds (leighoak was sold a couple of years ago).

Jackson leaving also meant we got to experience the death ride. That was great fun. This should be factored into the overall value of the trade imo.

If you're using a top pick on a player you need to be confident they will stick around. If a prospect says they would prefer to be based at home it would be an immediate deal breaker for me.

Was excellent before his injury. Hope he can rediscover that form post injury. plays an important role at the club. Keeping Stevie May in line!

She's been our most consistent player this year and can hold her head high this finals series. Won a three in a row with Dublin and it shows. No resting on her laurels, lack of hunger or complacency from Goldy.

I'm pretty sure @old55 was attempting to apply some levity to the situation. Some gallows humour so to speak (apt given we're chokers now). Nothing wrong with that. I'd have a stab at a second verse myself only I'm not a creative type.
-
Far out. Another choke. Goddam it. less talk about culture and more action on the field next season please. Very disappointing finals series for both teams for different reasons. hopefully the club can reset properly in the off season and come back stronger next year.

Jumping on a long haul flight back to Melbourne so won’t see the game. Best of luck to the girls. I reckon we’ll show our true colours and win well. go dees

Ok. I've got yesterday's horror show out of my system now. We can and will beat Geelong. No way this team meekly surrenders again this week. Make a statement about what this team stands. I'd throw Zanker into the middle. She's strong and agile and played there before to good effect. Bring West back in. Leave Harris forward. Campbell and Pearce to do the rucking. We may not go much farther this year but if we are going to lose can we at least die with our boots on. come on girls. you can do it.

I’ll go with this as well

Very very disappointed with that. Embarrassing performance. I wasn’t overly confident coming into the game given our form but that was terrible. We’ve lauded this year the past year or so and rightly so. They’ve been fantastic. The last few weeks have been poor however and today downright embarrassing. We were trounced and lucky to kick a goal. Goldie, Hore and Hanks had a crack. The rest were awful. The appetite for the contest is not there. We hunted like lions last year. This year we’ve been meek as lambs. I’d love to know why. We’re other problems as well but you have to have the heart for the battle. Going back-to-back is very hard to do but our level of performance against the top teams the last month or so has been miles off. Some honest conversations required otherwise Geelong will beat us next week. Mick has his work cut out for him this week that’s for sure.

ow is that not a HTB against Kearney. Not that it matters at this stage but umpiring is as poor as usual
