If you’re buying a house in NSW the contract to buy the house is not (effectively) executed until signed copies are exchanged. I can sign a copy of a contract to sell my house but until I tell the conveyancer / solicitor to exchange signed copies, it is not executed Similarly, in commercial contracts, at least those I’ve been involved in, a vendor can sign a contract to procure their services but it is not executed until the procurer signs/witnesses and sends a signed copy It was based on the above I made the comment
