  1. Steak and blowjob night every night also sounds good to me, but like this post, it's just a fantasy.
  2. For me, the most frustrating thing about Wattsy is that we get glimpses of what he's capable of and know what he can do. Then when he goes quiet and doesn't deliver those goods regularly, it's definitely bloody annoying for me, let alone everyone else. Wasted talent is more frustrating than just pure lack of effort. To use one of the favourite words around here: his effort since the injury comeback has been PUTRID!
  3. We've had a few key players back in the team from injury for a number of weeks now like Gawn, Viney, Jones, Watts, Tyson etc. Surely by now some of these guys should be back to full match fitness. It's difficult to maintain consistency with such a disrupted season injuries wise, but this is the moment where it should start clicking again. No excuses now! We all called it weeks ago, once all our cavalry is back we will finish the season with the wind in our sails. It all starts here against the Saints. There are only two possible scenarios from here on in: Finish strongly, win all 3 games and land in the finals full of confidence; or Fold like a bunch of [censored] and end our season with a wimper I've got confidence in our leadership group that they will do everything possible to achieve #1 rather than #2.
  4. Haha dammit, you found a flaw in my formula!
  5. 2014: 4 wins 2015: 7 wins 2016: 10 wins Going by this logical progression, I expected 2017 to be 13 wins. Still achievable at this stage, but finishing the season with 12-13 wins is basically where I think we are right now. If that means missing the finals, I wouldn't necessarily call it "failure". Disappointing, yes. Next season I would expect: Number of Wins in 2018 = Number of Wins in 2017 + 3 Mind you, if we finish with 10-11 wins I think that would constitute a failure as it completely ruins my formula.
  6. We've been hovering around the lower half of the Top 8 for the whole season, besides Rounds 6-11 where we were outside of the Top 8. I think some of us got a bit excited in believing the Dees could truly finish Top 4. The lower half of the Top 8 is probably a more realistic expectation for us given the ladder progression this year. The season definitely isn't over though, given how close 5th to 11th is right now. At the moment Port Adelaide are 5th on 44 points, we're 10th on 40 points. Winning against St Kilda will change the whole scenario potentially putting us back in the 8 with 2 rounds to go. Especially with Brisbane at the G the following week. The one thing against us is the percentage, we could be sneaking into 8th right now on percentage alone. Instead, we need to rely on wins, which I don't necessarily see as a negative. We should be aiming to get into the 8 on wins, rather than relying on other results and percentage (mind you if we get in on percentage I definitely won't complain). Who knew footy was as simple as winning games! There is no way I'm turning my back on the season right now, especially with the prospects of the final run of 3 games. The good news is we have a bit of a break now to recover and get ready to smash the Saints at our home on Sunday. I'll be back in this thread next week to either salivate with the rest of you on the run home, or crying into my keyboard at the missed opportunities!
  7. Might as well play the top teams, having an "easy" run against [censored] teams like Norf doesn't seem to help us at all. We can only win convincingly against good opposition.
  8. He's a 22 year old kid, I hardly doubt that he's "plateaued". He has played what, 8 games this year? Between his father dying, getting ball cancer and breaking his collarbone, I can hardly believe anyone can be critical of his performance this season. Wait, this is Demonland, what am I saying...
  9. No words can describe what happened at Blundstone on Saturday, not even putrid. It's currently Monday and I'm still searching for a response to that Dees effort. If the players aren't [censored] off and revved up for GWS after that performance, they never will be. The only thing that saved me is that I was out of the house and couldn't watch the game live. I think if I watched it, I would have been buying a new TV today as I would have thrown the [censored] out of the window.
  10. I give up trying to predict the road to the finals. Massive win against Port one week, epic failure against Norf the next. Seriously, if we beat GWS next week, there is no rational or logical thought process in the world that could predict a Demons result.
  11. Is there a repository of all these gif's somewhere on Demonland? It would be awesome to go back and refer to these.
  12. I think Dixon was just butthurt that he was getting owned by a player that is 22cm shorter than he is. "The Jetta effect"
  13. Interesting topic for discussion, I'm not sure that Demonland members should be questioned for their commitment to the club though. We all post on an internet forum, if you're fanatical enough to do that, then you probably like the club. The question shouldn't be "Where was everybody?" rather it should be, "What can the club do to attract bums on seats?". What are the real issues? On field results? Ticket prices? Scheduling? I don't know the issues as I live in Perth and don't attend the G or Etihad. Personally I think on field performances is generally a big driver. A finals appearance this year, and I guarantee a bunch of Melbourne locals will jump on the bandwagon. You can't underestimate the effect of no finals since 2006 on the attendance figures. Exciting footy, creates a buzz, creates bums on seats.
  14. Hard to believe after the start we had that we were only down by 21 at 3/4 time. We showed a lot of that fighting quality we are developing in the 2nd and 3rd quarter but unfortunately we were way too far behind from the get go. Difficult not to feel completely deflated after the ending to that game though. Given the context of the game with injuries, quality of the Crows, the early deficit etc, losing by 3-4 goals would have hurt a hell of a lot less than 7 goals. Jayden Hunt, what a goal though. Obviously had to do something spectacular after being denied that non-goal the previous week!
  15. I thought Hogan was better in his second week back, got his hands to the footy a bit more and took 7 marks. It could have easily been 10+ marks, he got a bit unlucky with a couple grabs and dropped a sitter (although on the wing). I think he's starting click and get back into form. I wouldn't be surprised to see a huge game from him soon once those big marks start sticking.
  16. Sometimes it sucks being the new guy in an internet forum. I thought we would be talking about how harshly armchair pundits have been treating Dean Kent over the past few weeks. The thread was really a conspiracy theory about how the club refused to take Dean to Darwin Hospital to receive medical attention. WTF am I reading??
  17. Just want to add my voice to the chorus of the Jeville Netta love song. The guy is a freak athlete, unbelievable. I truly believe that the bigger his opponent in relative size, the more he dominates them.
  18. It's easy to forget that Clarry is still only a 19 (20?) year old kid. The guy called him a weak [censored]. As a young fella trying to play the game it's a bit hard not to take it to heart. I bet that fat moron feels tough picking on a young kid from the sidelines. I think the club will do the right thing to do all they can to protect Clarry from the media clowns and move on from the non-issue.
  19. 6. Jetta 5. TMac 4. Clarry 3. Frost 2. Neal-Bullen 1. Petracca
  20. I must admit, I spent most of the game bashing Jordan Lewis, with the rage culminating around him taking forever and getting pinged holding the ball in the middle of the park. But I finally came to sense and reason after he received the ball from ANB at the end of the game to run down the clock and celebrate with the boys. Legend! Also I'm not sure I've seen it mentioned, but how good was Hunt's (non)goal where he ran about 20m with the ball in like 2.4 seconds and snapped one straight through the middle. That should have been allowed just to have it on the highlights reel!
  21. We need some sort of Lab analysis on the cm's deviation from the centreline of the goals for each of Tommy Mac's set shots at goal. I'm pretty sure he split the middle of the goals every time!
  22. It's good to have Hogan back. Hope he has a good one on Sunday and kicks a few. The boost to team morale will be the most important thing he brings to the table though. With Plugger McDonald up there with him, and Jeffy back in the mix it should be raining goals for the Dees!
  23. I said it after the game on Friday (watching on Fox Footy) and I'll say it again now... Paul Roos was the only person on that commentary team that had any idea what he was talking about post-game (e.g. not pumping up Swans, not bashing us, citing valid points regarding the 6-day breaks, injuries etc). Maybe it's because of his ties with MFC, but maybe it's because the rest of em are clueless imbeciles. I'd go with the latter.
  24. Yep. I've just noticed that The West Australian website seems to have a new analysis on the "incident" every few hours, it's pathetic. The Eagles fans (including their #1 fan The West Australian newspaper) are a bunch of butthurt crybabies. I even overheard someone in my office the other day that was raising their voice and butthurt about Clarry "diving". Good. It makes me even happier to see Eagles fans act this way (being a WA local). I bet if they won the game this wouldn't have even become an issue. It's just sour grapes at the end of the day...that's how they are...
