Jay Lockhart best on ground by a country mile at the moment

Lockhart HAS to be drafted this year He is a small in and under midfielder that can play as a mopping up half back and a dangerous small forward. Kid can play anywhere with tremendous skill and composure. I don’t think he’s had as good a year as Fritsch had last season, but it’s not far off.

Pretty nervous about it this, Keilty will need to have another good game to give himself the best chance at getting another contract. I know there’s still finals to play but it’s a big game for us nevertheless. Carn the Dee’s!

I remember that game, Williamstown were super dirty, something I had never seen from them before. Bugg got smashed at one staged, I was right on the boundary when Balic got killed off the ball, and multiple other incidents. Pretty sure they were a few fines and even 1 suspension from that game. Hopefully being a televised game Willy won't be anywhere near as dirty but we'll see.

Yeah mate, this game will be televised If Casey can snatch a win here they’ll finish as Minor Premiers for the 2nd time in 3 years. I think the inprovement in the AFL side has been mirrored in having a really strong VFL program. Hopefully the boys, who will be going in probably under manned, win in the weekend it’ll be a great reflection of where the club is at as a whole.

Not anymore actually, that got changed a couple of years ago. You can have any number of Rookies kept on for a third year.

Just to put Dec's year into perspective (and maybe to try and convince myself he'll get another contract) I've gone through the BOG for the VFL the last couple of months and here is where Keilty got- (Before Round 8 he was pretty quiet so I'll start from there) RD8 1st RD9 - RD10 6th RD11 Bye RD12 Injured (Concussion) RD13 1st RD14 - RD15 - RD16 4th RD17 Bye RD18 5th RD19 4th RD20 3rd I know I'm biased but someone in the AFL team getting in the best's in 7 out of 10 of his games would surely be holding his spot.... Let's just hope he gets at least 1 more year and a chance to Debut.

Could easily see Bugg coming in, but I don’t think they’ll debut Dec. The backline seems pretty well set now with Hibbo back, and even though Keilty’s been in great form (been in the best on in the VFL for the last 5 or 6 weeks now I think) I don’t see a spot for him. Just hoping he gets another contract.

Casey's worse performance of the season, and it just happens to be televised D= Lockhart is a gun and should be at least rookied, CWagner could be as well. Thought DJ was good today and Keilty, Petty and Hutchins had some nice moments but otherwise not really a great game from the boys, Twig certainly wasn't happy. Don't let this game skew your view of Casey though, this was their weakest team of the season and I'd think they'd be bouncing back hard next week v Williamstown at home to secure the minor premiership.
