  1. You're kidding yourself.
  2. Now you even know how I'm feeling, deep down, apparently. You know what all the clubs are doing with their players in their welfare program and I'm also playing dumb (although I'd be careful, Curry, that after a month off you would already be resorting to insulting posters. I won't dob you in though like you've done to others, like me, before.) I believe this is nothing, you believe the world is caving in. Go for it and let's leave it at that.
  3. It's like banging your head against a wall with Curry. You gave more than one example, yet you've somehow proven his point. The steam will be coming out of his ears in a minute...
  4. You made an outlandish claim, which is your strength, that only ONE player visits their family during the season. Can you back that up? Of course you can't, because it's not true. As others have said, some of our own draftees and younger players have done this already during the season. It's nothing. Even Roos mentioned it in his press conference yesterday. I don't claim to know everything, I just don't go over the top about something that is nothing to worry about.
  5. Just like your claim? C'mon mate, you can play the game better than that.
  6. Why do you look at his Instagram posts? Not sure what's wrong with his attitude either. I hope you'll still be happy to be proven wrong at the end of the year.
  7. Righto Curry. Go ahead and get your knickers in a twist. I'm impressed that you know the comings and goings of each player from every club in the competition. Must take up plenty of your time.
  8. It's nothing mate. Given a few days off to visit his family.
  9. No he didn't.
  10. For those that can't get past the paywall: The article just said that Hogan's decision will come down more to prospects than money. Clark then mentioned Hogan is very happy in Melbourne, he gets along really well with Goodwin and we have plenty of top end talent coming through that suggests we will not only have some sustained success, but that Hogan won't feel as though it will all rest on him. It's nothing we haven't really heard before, but it had a more positive spin than other articles have had since he put off contract talks.
  11. From what I can tell he's basing the article on Karl Langdon. I wouldn't worry too much.
  12. I won't get into a debate about what GNF has gotten right or what he's missed, but if the first part of his info turns out to be correct then he's alright by me.
  13. Couldn't agree more. We've been waiting for a guy like Hogan since the day Neitz retired, and when we have him, some will barely kick up a fuss if he leaves. Madness.
  14. God I love Jack Viney. He just BLEEDS red and blue. It's bloody brilliant!
  15. I'm sure that the club does everything it can to keep all players happy, but to suggest we drafted Weideman because Hogan told the club to do it is ridiculous.
  16. Second year forward making demands? Good one.
  17. How gracious of you.
  18. Correct on both fronts. Just goes to show how easy it is for rumours that are backed up by nothing can gain some traction. Edit - sorry, Gaff is out of contract at the end of the season, but has indicated his willingness to sign a new, multi year deal this year. He last signed towards the end of 2014.
  19. Why didn't he ask to be traded at the end of 2015, then? What changed that was so catastrophic that he now wants to be home in Perth so badly? Do the math dazzle - it doesn't add up.
  20. What doesn't add up, to me, is what has changed in a few months. He happily signed on at the end of 2014 and, if he really wanted out, he could have gone to the club and demanded a trade. Nothing happened. He completed an excellent pre-season and is just starting to get back into form, giving no indication that he wants to be back in Perth at all costs. Langdon has hit the mark before, but he's also been waaaaay off as well. He is a Perth native who, of course, would want to see someone like Jesse come home. I just can't take him all that seriously.
  21. Oh look, another Hogan thread. We don't have enough of these.
  22. I think this can be an easy thing to overlook too, something I did earlier in the season. These guys who are re-signing are in the last year of their deals, and we all know Hogan isn't in the same position.
  23. Exactly. The best thing to do is to put these sort of articles to the side. One day you'll have someone saying that have a 'source' that tells them he is going home, the next day someone else is piping up saying he loves it in Victoria and is a dead cert to re-sign. The cycle will just continue over and over again.
  24. No wonder he is struggling on field. Just look at the scrutiny the poor bloke cops. He still has 44 more games to play before his contract is up and he's already copping it. We've got short memories too. Everyone, even Jesse himself, have said that he loves it in Melbourne and has no real interest in going home. Yet we believe journo's instead. I know the Scully fiasco has tainted our thinking here, but we need to get behind the big fella and trust in the club to get things done. We'll be right.
  25. Alright mate, I retract that statement if it hurts you so much. As I said above I'm merely going by the fact that you often take a rather negative view of the football club, and to see you do the same here came as little surprise.
