  1. Also, this commentary is some of the worst I've heard. Absolutely terrible. I guess it's to be expected for the VFL but I feel like a 5 year old would know the players better.
  2. Big Red gave the link 10 posts ago. But yes, I guess we're welcome.
  3. Just ignore it, mate. The haters will hate, the supporters will support. Nothing is going to change no matter what he does. Replying to each and every one won't make a lick of difference.
  4. A week is a long time in footy. The Dogs were praised for their efforts last week, now they've served up some absolute poo yet again to be 1-4 after 5 rounds. Is Bevo under the pump?
  5. It's not just this thread big fella. You seem to have devolved into making everything Watts related yourself. Before everything went down with him I thought you used to contribute some really worth while stuff. Now you've allowed yourself to sink to their level. I guess I'm hoping you can find your way back out again. Cheers.
  6. I used to like you as a poster, jumbo. What happened?
  7. Carlisle should have snaffled that mark. Saints fans are booing but the spoil from Davis was fair. They should be booing Carlisle instead.
  8. I kind of agree McQueen in regards to the amount of articles that keep getting added. I feel almost burnt out discussing so many different things and it's only Round 5.
  9. Is there anything about the club the media hasn't covered this week...?
  10. I gave it the respect it deserved. This has been regurgitated all week. Why you feel so important to create a thread about it, rather than sticking it in other ones, is beyond me.
  11. @Axis of Bob Your sad old men will be rubbing their hands together with this thread...
  12. Or Balic has also gotten the call up... ? It does give us an insight into potential selection for this week, though. Vince, Wagner, Bugg and Fritsch are the ones potentially coming back from the senior side going by the team list.
  13. Deflect and distract? That's a good one. I've discussed my point of view with plenty of people in a variety of threads over the last couple of days. You, on the other hand, ran off to another thread and had a dip at my point of view rather than challenging it directly at me. Weak as [censored].
  14. You were the one who had a dip at my point of view in another thread. If you don't like someone retaliating then don't act like a child in the first place. Your changed opinion doesn't now justify that absolute rubbish you posted about Hogan a few seasons back.
  15. Ah right, you're that type, yeah? Take quotes from others and flip them into other threads? it's rather funny coming from the bloke who spent months potting Jesse Hogan before he re-signed and questioned his worth to the team. Just goes to show how terrific your knowledge of the game is. For the record, the last quarter against the Hawks was an aberration. When was the last time we really played like that? We might cough up a run of goals far more than we should, but we don't roll over for sides like that.
  16. The jury is out on lots of things for most teams at the moment. It's Round 4.
  17. A squad will possibly be announced on Sunday arvo, with the final team finalised late Monday afternoon.
  18. No doubt about that. It was an aberration the likes of which we haven't seen in some time. It happens to all sides at some stage. How we respond in the coming weeks is the key.
  19. We didn't need to until sometime during the third term. We lost the second term to poor kicking - we had ample chances to hit the scoreboard and only kicked points. The Hawks had just 4 scoring shots for the term, all of which were goals. Goody could be forgiven for going in at half time and telling them to kick straight and we're in the game - outside of tackles, we were either level or ahead in most statistical areas, so it wasn't as if we were being belted going in at half time. We turn those gettable shots into goals and we're ahead by 3 of them going in to half time. The game began to run away from us half way through the third term and, by then, it was running away quickly. I know that Goodwin moved Frost up forward and re-jigged a few other things, but he certainly wasn't able to work any sort of magic that Clarkson did. I don't think he has the experience to do that just yet. Again, I'm not making excuses - Goodwin needs to learn to see things changing in a game earlier than he does some weeks. But at the same time we didn't really start struggling until half way through the third term and then the flood gates opened. We had no idea how to stop them and that's the issues we need to address.
  20. I'm just stoked you've responded to something of mine, poita. Shame you couldn't do it in March with the Ultimate Footy League. Cheers.
  21. I bloody loved 'Dutchy' Holland. Could be a horrible kick of the footy but always did his job week in, week out to best of his abilities.
