  1. It will, I absolutely reckon the Dees can run with JVR, Fritta and Melk. That is a dangerous forward line. A little small but still a group that can kick a winning score.
  2. Are we the worst set shot team in the league. That would be a sad state of affairs given Choco's standing in AFL.
  3. I've been thinking about this. I feel the way AFL football is played these days its challenging to put 4 complete quarters together in a game. Even the league leaders play what could be considered a poor quarter of football most weeks. I actually believe our last quarter was pretty good. Brisbane had all the momentum but the Dees were not overun and played their guts out. They just didnt have the finishing skills to ice the game.
  4. Yep. I think if the Lions lost that game they would be bitterly disappointed given the number of opportunities they fluffed in the last quarter. The ball basically lived in their half of the ground and they were running all over the Dees.
  5. It can be more physically taxing to take the risks as well. Players may have wanted to, but felt they were physically unable to nail that 40m bullet or take on the tackler, especially the early career players. I expect these guys also don't want to be dropped which would feed into the whole risk taking mentality. I can't imagine Goody instructing the players to take the game on and take risks leading into the last quarter...we almost never play that way.
  6. Could see that coming half way through the third. Boys tried hard but ultimately couldn't put it away with only two goals in the second half. We are in dire need of another key forward to play with JVR. Petty played well overall but he is unable to convert set shots.
  7. Why leave the sub until so late.
  8. So 12th or 5th boys.
  9. Geez. Just kick one. We only need one.
  10. We need some run. Has the sub come on yet?
  11. Haha...Bt's description of Kossie's goal was deplorable.
  12. Unbelievable, Kozzie...you are a star!!
  13. Brisbane lifting a bit.
  14. That was lucky...should have been a lions goal.
  15. Wonderful kick Kossie!!
  16. Lingers has been quiet.
  17. An early goal or two would be super.
  18. ...so important, really hope this continues.
  19. A little from Column A and a little from Column B, Praha?
  20. Yeah, I don't doubt that he has been beaten taggers. The initial point I was agreeing to still stands I.e. a run-with role on Neale.
  21. He has broken plenty of tags in the past so I think there are other factors at play. Moving him to a run with role on Neale would give him added accountability and I can bet he will still pick up the same number of possies as recent weeks.
  22. I like this idea. Give Clarry a role other than just chalking up possessions. Unlike many, I think Clarrie's poor form is mostly above the shoulders, this may be a way of getting him involved and back in form.
  23. I find that the Dees ability to arrest momentum has fallen away markedly. Despite playing better recently, even the lowly The tin-rattlers were sadly able to get on runs making us look second rate at times. I'm sure there is a strategy to curtail momentum but we either don't have the experience across the ground to implement it effectively or the strategy isn't working.
