Ok slippery conditions police, I copy! Alice Springs is nowhere near Darwin, in the middle of the desert and played during the day = not slippery.

We have an Alice Springian or two on here and they’ve said Alice Springs isn’t anywhere near as humid as Darwin. Don’t think it’s ever been a sweat box when we’ve played in Alice.
I assume it wouldn't be during the day, may be at night? Not even sure if it's a day or night game.

This is a big game! Freo are a good team without being outstanding. very defensive and if its hot and sweaty in Alice it could be very low scoring.
Id say no change at this stage but if it does look like being a slippery ball kind of game, maybe a smaller fwd line is a good idea.
If its a slippery kind of game we may as well hand the game Freo now. I don't have faith in the Dees executing under these conditions... I hope I'm wrong this time.

If we lose today, it’ll be a battle to get top 8. Lions, Dees, Suns all are outside the 8. Lose today and we have a tough road ahead!!
ps. Aside from Lever, this is our best 22.
(Saints arguably have their best 22 … Membrey & Crouch maybe could make them better)I feel as though Melksham and Turner are arguably part of our best 22.

Personally I'd love Rivers to get more time in the middle, I know he can turn it over but he may just give us that bit of extra bounce energy wise. Have to take risks sometimes and the depth pool is shallow as it is.
We've gotta do something different in there, anything.
I think the only realistic way to build depth durinf the season is to blood more of our youngsters, especially players with a full season or more under the belt at Casey.

I would like to think that this will wake them up but I fear it
I think we are in trouble. Now we're only in the 8 by the skin of our teeth. Losing those games ultimately means the Dees must win remaining games against the top sides to make top 4.

OK just checked the score. What the hell. I know we lost lever but seriously it's west coast.
Who's on waterman?

Billings has to go now. He’s deplorable by foot, and that was the only reason we got him.
He infuriates me.
Yeah, what is the story. I have no faith in Billing's by foot. I don't understand why we traded him.

Reid is making us look second rate in the midfield. I'll be surprised if we get back from here. The Eagles look better than us today.

Didn't take long to snuff out our chance of coming back

Definitely no coming back from here.

Have we used the sub?

Billings, gee mate.
-
Gee we stink tonight.

All things considered, the Cats goal kicking was equally as poor as ours. They also had a couple of OOF.

Cmon boys, you can do this.

I can't wait for this to start happening. I'm sure he will find his groove soon.

I had my doubts coming into the season and was buoyed by the way we’ve played and the potential for improvement that lies within our numbers from the first 5 rounds. Last night, whilst immensely disappointing, doesn’t have me reverting back to doubts. We were knackered and Brisbane were absolutely desperate for the win. [censored] happens. No one on here can tell me that Trac, Viney and Oliver will play like that very often. I’d be surprised if a bug hadn’t got the group whilst away. Take the week, then we’ve got 3 tough games. I’ll reserve judgement until after the Carlton game.
I'll be making some judgement if we lose to the Tigers 😒. Their injury list is horrible at present. Possibly 13 players out including several important ones.

I think there’s a typo there. BBB out. Hore in. Agree. BBB cooked.
This is BBB every year. He cannot string games together and clearly his body gets sore after a few weeks. He needs to be managed much better to get the full impact from him over the season. The Dees need to me more proactive in his management.

I hope he can play every game from now to the GF. Fitness issues are his Achilles heel unfortunately and always seems to provide the backdrop to his form issues.
