  1. Gotta say I really enjoyed Johnathan Brown and Nathan Buckley absolutely gushing over how good we are during the game against the Saints. There are some singing our praises and then others like Underwood who just try to create a story or controversy where there is non. Buckley was asked on a post game panel the other week. "What would be the first thing you'd do if you were coaching and prepping to play the Dees next week?" His answer, Pray! I thought it was gold
  2. Not bad for first gear.
  3. A big swag have been from players just pinging away instead of lowering their eyes. I don't think it's skills. It's egos
  4. High fend off into Vineys just before too. He's getting angrier than usual
  5. Add Spargo to the selfish list. Had Harmes right beside him then
  6. Bowey got up, so one week will do.
  7. What brand of phone is fox using to broadcast the game?
  8. Another gift to Brisbane
  9. I do wonder. Might be next year before they really kick but will be interesting to see if the crows run it out well against the lions.
  10. When Melbourne were trash I still supported them while living in Brisbane. However, I did become a Lion's member for about four years and saw some awesome games at the Gabba. It's all about playing a good standard of footy to bring crowds in. Also, I don't know if I could put up with the rubbish crowd activation at games now too though.
  11. It's not just that I've never heard commentators talk about our team this way before. I've never heard the likes of Buckley and Brown talk about any team with the superlatives they are using to describe us now. Such a surreal feeling to sit back and relax watching us play. The only time I get wound up now is when the likes of Clarry, Brayshaw, Langdon or Pickett get near the ball. Just surreal. It's a dream come true to follow a team this good. Go Narrm!
  12. So proud of this club. Go Narrm!
  13. Great news. She had another excellent season. Such an ambassador for our footy club too. I'm not watching Hamish McLachlan interview anyone though, including Daisy
  14. I forgot to mention that kick hacked out of a ruck contest and kicked forward for forty metres by Gawn which then bounced out and was paid as deliberate oob was one of the worst umpiring decisions I think I've ever seen. Amazing
  15. Completely agree. I think Mitchell is going to be a good coach and Hawks really took the game on. Interesting game. We did well with so many out. Happy for Bedford, he played pretty well. We probably would have accepted an honorable loss in the past with so many out. We did well. Great to keep banking the wins. Noticed a little lack of defensive intensity in the last QTR. I wonder if so many with Covid may be affecting our overall fitness?
  16. Yep it was a swinging arm and he knew where Smith was.
  17. Bad kicking is bad football. If only we'd kicked straight we could have rolled the premiers. Hehehe
  18. Melksham was really quiet in the VFL last week. Bedford ran and went in really hard last week. He should come in if needed.
  19. I especially love the blatant push in the back in the ruck contest by the Geelong ruckman before it went straight forward to Hawkins. Ironic Moronic
  20. I kind of understand both sides of it @sydney_demon. Who on earth would want to be an umpire? I think they need to attract a better calibre of professional athletes to adjudicate the game and part of that is cutting out the abuse which is fair enough But, the standard of umpiring seems so low. Why can't an umpire's game be scrutinised like a player's game? Why not drop them if they perform poorly. Pay them well, make it a career path and make it competitive for spots to umpire in the AFL. If you're rubbish, you get dropped. If there is a blight on the murderer's career as AFL ceo, I reckon it's the complexity and always changing rules of the game, the MRO and tribunal and the standard of the umpiring. Totally agree with you, it must just drive the player's crazy.
  21. Smith and Tomlinson stood out down back but geez Bedford was outstanding I thought. Just going so hard to try and break into the seniors.
  22. Two free kicks and 50 metre penalties to Coburg in this last quarter resulting in goals. Free kicks 14 to 29
  23. Three quick goals to Coburg, we're 4 goals up.
  24. Incredible goal by Bedford, screamed out of the centre, kick forward and then followed up for the hand pass and goal. Great stuff. Seven goals up
