  1. That list kick into f50 was going oof too
  2. Fantastic play then. Pressure!
  3. Yep, the pies are awesome on the rebound
  4. Well done tigers. Every reason to fold considering their season. Pffft freekickmantle
  5. Throw by Freo right on the tigers goal line
  6. Spidey senses say Freo. Bolton will have to win it for the tigers I think
  7. When is the media going to stand up and question this? Or the coaches or the players association? It's a farce
  8. Oh but they've been oh so careless https://youtu.be/tAE9ncvMJ2M
  9. How on earth does the term careless apply to that tackle? He's murdering this game I tellsya.
  10. Lucky we've got such great comedic relief with Bounce and watching two of the all time great comedians in Dunstall and Gaze. Pppft Their sophisticated himour are likely to release any pressure build up on your crack @chook fowler
  11. DeGoey will be loading extra HAARD for the next three weeks
  12. From the games I've seen, he's been playing pretty much full time. So the theory that they're easing him into the second half of the season doesn't seem to ring true for me. I love the bloke's attitude and the work he does with the aflw players, so maybe his body Just isn't right yet. Hope he comes good. He's a solid mark when given the space to lead into and a reliable set shot. JVR could do with another key forward beside him so he's not the sole focus.
  13. Gee, I agree with you @old dee. I think our delivery into the forward line, how we set up, lead and work together as a forward line is our biggest thing to fix if we're going to have a shot at a flag this year. This article in the roar sums it up for me..... Let’s start with the bigger picture: the Dees had 20 more inside 50s (59-39), won the clearances by nine (38-29) and dominated contested possessions by 26 (148-122). They also had 40 forward half intercepts – the most by any team this year – to 16, and 58 disposals inside 50 to 29. This is the stat line of a 100-point win – 70 if you kick badly for goal. For it to only be enough for a 17-point win over everyone’s favourite whipping team is an utter horror show. For me, it's not so much about personnel, it's delivery and lowering our eyes to the right option. We need to get this right to beat the good teams like the pies. The pressure will come which always affects decision making and delivery too. Getting a good conversion rate from our inside 50s is vital to us winning another flag. I know there's those who point to our healthy percentage as an argument, but watching the games it's obvious at the moment we're pretty dysfunctional up front and not working together like we should https://www.theroar.com.au/2023/06/02/footy-fix-the-blues-are-rubbish-but-the-dees-were-just-as-bad-and-four-images-perfectly-sum-up-why/
  14. You're asking for the impossible
  15. That was an interesting one from Goldstein, both hands in the back pushing an essendon player off balance, who pushed a north player off balance and into an essendon knee in a marking pack. Was paid as a mark when it should have been a free to Essendon. Can Goldy get reported for causing the concussion of his own team mate? 😁 I really don't like this legitimisation of pushing in the back.
  16. There seems to be a lot more selfishness in the forward 50 as well. I was stunned at Frittas snap goal when Chandler was standing all by himself in the goal square last night.
  17. I've been really impressed by the way Viney has changed his tackling style to keep his feet and bring his opponent more gently to ground (while still knocking the wind out of them and also coming close to ripping their arms off) I reckon it would be good to see the stuff he's learnt shared and trained across the team. The way these tackles are leading to suspensions every week (sans Collingwood and Carlton) it's vital we bring players to ground slowly while still hitting them hard. If not Jui Jitsu lessons, then maybe a team mate running in with a tontine to place on the ground before the opponent is tackled. 😜
  18. Yep, thought the same. Viney's having a pretty good season and we'll really need him next week. Couldn't see Christensen citing him pfffft
  19. Totally agree about the in the back rule. Players are getting pushed head first into packs. There's also a lot of times the tackler just pins the ball to his opponent and lays on top. Who's really holding the ball? If the players tries to spill the ball out, they get pinged for incorrect disposal. If they just pretend to punch it, it's a stoppage. Footy is now some kinda weird interpretative dance.
  20. A late night media conference to state that nothing has really been found or resolved. All in the middle of the Sir Doug Nicholls rounds. Onya Gil, don't let the door hit ya in the MRO on the way out.
  21. There is no logic in focusing on one 4 point game (Collingwood) over another 4 point game against Freo.
  22. You can see the shizen delivery at both levels. Feeling very sorry for JVR and Fritsch
  23. I thought Koz almost won it for us today. Our delivery is atrocious. Something needs to change with our coaches and our processes. Both delivery in and our leading out. As someone mentioned, it seems almost like luck when we get a goal.
  24. Thanks for all the updates @KC from Casey
  25. Our game is not one dimensional, it's two dimensional, we are happy to run it along both boundary lines.
