  1. We'll have to wait on BT's diagnosis
  2. So brave by Jake. He's played a really good game back there. So tough.
  3. Paps just elbowed Windsor in the head to break that tackle. No free
  4. Totally agree, as usual we're competing and defending well and can win this and then the same old thing. Gotta ask about selection decisions again and our forward set up. Fritsch seems to have the confidence of a 16 year old boy in a brothel. Schache did not chase his opponent at one point We also aren't physical enough. A number of times we didn't put body on opponents to protect their team mates who had possession. Salem seems to be the only player right now who has consistently clean foot skills.
  5. That's not exactly correct. We now seem to be kicking more in hard and low to a big pack. Funny it seems to bring the same result.
  6. We would have to be number one in the comp for sub one metre handballs.
  7. I think we'll win this but geez we're still absolutely shizen going forward
  8. He's in a big pack we keep bombing to.
  9. I've found that most fox broadcast I watch have brain and mouth synch issues. I've had the volume right down until the last 5 mins.
  10. I'll never forget that little interview Gus gave to Gary Lyon in the rooms after the 2021 flag win. Where he acknowledged everyone so beautifully. This is for everyone! It was probably the highlight of the day for me. When the win really hit home. Glad he'll be working at the club into the future.
  11. If only they could wear their black and white jumpers....
  12. With Brayshaw off the list surely we could bring in a Rookie. The first bloke that comes to mind is ummmm...Tim Tszyu. First game for him would be.... oh let me think, Kings Birthday against Collingwood? Starting position..... Maybe on Maynard.... Mmm maybe not. Leave him as sub until halfway through the third quarter when we're up by 10 goals and Maynard is sweating bullets. Bring Tim on to mark Maynard. Our Players instructed to bomb the ball to Maynard. Tszyu is ordered to spoil Maynard. Tim's feet won't even have to leave the ground to spoil. Ooops, it was a pure football act says Tim. One can only dream! In reality, I'm not really that angry at Maynard. He's just a thug. The thing that would have hurt him most would have been him missing out on a premiership medal. It's not even Collingwood's fault, although I completely loathe their supporters more than ever after attending that game. This is the AFL's responsibility. They didn't argue the case to protect a player going for the ball and didn't suspend a player who could have negated the impact of the collision but instead tucked his shoulder in to maximise damage to his opponent. They haven't changed the rules enough to stop this scenario happening again. They suspended one of our best players (Koz) for a week for a glancing, fair bump the following week (Remember that for round 1 when he's missing), while allowing Maynard to play a grand final. I don't know if I'll ever attend another game against Collingwood. It's such a foul experience. However, I do know I hate those corrupt, inept clowns at AFL house so much more than the pies. They are so inconsistent in their rulings and disloyal to the fans and our game. It's just about dollars and TV. Anyways, could Tim Tszyu be hypothetically drafted as a rookie before KB? One can only dream.
  13. I agree totally and ..... I think our club is staggering a bit from the last 6 months. I'd love to see Gus deep in the footy department as a runner and or development / mentoring role with the team. We'll need his level head and wonderful communication skills both at the club level but also with the players as we hit some more rocky times ahead. Really glad he's going to continue to work at our club.
  14. That's my reading of it too. He had previous knocks but he had good care and multiple ongoing scans which showed no deterioration until.... The Maynard incident. I would think Gus would have many scans in his back pocket highlighting/ benchmarking his neurological health along most of his career and through those previous concussions until the QF last year. Proactive vs reactive. He's made a point of the incident and the mismanagement by the AFL. I reckon he and his team might have a crack at the AFL
  15. Stayed off this thread all day enjoying a wonderful day. I'm going to go back and watch the third QTR of our premiership game. I firmly believe it was not the "bang bang bang" but Gus Bradshaw's heroics and selfless play leading up to that, that turned the game our way. He was just immense. He never gives in and I will miss watching him do the hard things that others don't when games are on the line. Thank you Angus Brayshaw G A G F AFL for letting it slide and letting Maynard get away with it.
  16. As long as we're in front with f50 entries, we win yeah?
  17. And that's supposed to be our strength!
  18. I thought it was great to hear him speak the truth. The only thing I'd disagree with is the "there's always next year" quote. That will not be the case for some of our older players and we're in a special competitive space right now that won't last too much longer. There is only this year. Grab it.
  19. He's got a bit of no BS, just hard at it, James McDonald about him.
  20. That's true about his inexperience. I really liked the way he developed last year. He's got a lot of toughness and attacking flair about him now. It would be good to see him have a run through the guts.
  21. So it's really 4notoK I'm outside of proper NBN coverage and on starlink now. Anyone got feedback on how kayo runs over starlink?
  22. Exactly, you'd want to cement a permanent forward line and get the system right before bringing in more new blood. It was not and easy year for our forwards and especially JVR.
