POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
I booked 4 tickets...2 for my daughter and fiance and one for me and a mate. My daughters living in melb for a spell and I was driving down from Wollongong...Australia's premier city minus anything good. And that word premier. Anywho...got fairly crook and couldn't go so I gave mine to my mates mate. The idiots left after the blues got 9 points up. Tuned in on the car radio and realised they blew my money. I probably would have knicked off as well being the true believer I am😃 but it wasn't the 55 per tix blown....it was the missed glory and sweet win over such a one eyed mob of blues fans. And the look of utter hopelessness.

Multi-Call of Kozzy's Match Winner!
Those blokes seemed remarkably relaxed compared to me at the time. I was hiding under the doona.

Love your Avatar. Reminds me of those footy cards we used to get in sunnycrust bread. Maybe it is. Or maybe I'm just too old.

Are there specific players negligent inches area. It's not Kozzie or Anb. Fritta does a fair ammountnof work. Spargo hasn't playedcas well as last year. Kicking to the same pocket has been very predictable and and when shooting from there has added to our consistent goal scoring inconsistency. Aside from the state of both attack and defence and even though we were inaccurate last year it's still a part of our game that needs to be fixed. Fritta has very much improved his set shots and become very reliable. Tmac has always been a sharp shooter bit has missed too many games. He's also tom Hawkins like in terms of a big body applying pressure. After the prelim Max's goal kicking is woeful. Now Jackson is following his lead. The 2 best mids in the game are below par in this part of the equation. I'll finish on a positive for once....we are not relying on other teams losing to see if we will make the eight.🙃

On a more serious note... This is spot on Dazzle and evidenced by higher scores kicked against us this year. I'm not sure what happened down back but it just seemed like a busted h20 pipe at times. Maybe Salem and Petty missing early games. Lever in and out. Bowie not there. Rivers form dipped But the difference bw this year and last years backline was night and day. Then there's tge fwd line but I wouldn't know where to start. Interesting if we win the last h and a game again we will finish 2nd. This team at its height with no injuries and everyone playing their absolute best would do more than back to back. That's the frustrating factor....how good we really are to what we actually often see. Still love them all. Especially big Max who has been a sublime captain and the sort of bloke that would rally any player.- POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
We had luck to throw away. In terms of injuries we were very very lucky ...often with a full compliment to choose from. Call it luck or maybe it was a well-timed club with a fitness staff keeping things going well. But assuming they are still doing a good job we haven't been lucky with injuries. Petty didn't start till late. Salem missed a lot of the early eason. Lever in and out due to injuries. May had a few health issues. Our fwd line lost Tmav just when he and bbb started to gel.( probably rubbed against frittas hairdo) Bbb was injured. There were a couple of other critical ones but I'd have to go back and check. A few covid protocols changed not a few teams so yea last year we were much luckier.. Rembervthe year after we made the prelim and then had the injury season from hell. Well it has not been too bad this year but much worse than last years dream run. Anywho as the old saying goes....you make your own luck. Whatever that means. Maybe it means in 90 sets you have the will and composure to forget the previous close losses and kick a winning goal with 14 sec left on the tic toc. I don't know. As the other old saying goes...the harder we run...the harder we tackle...the more we push ourselves....the luckier we get. My favorite old wise saying is.....if a man's name is Jake is is still a lucky snake of a player. And this weekend we will get very lucky and win by throwing the kitchen sink at Brisbane.- Kozzy Racially Vilified
Tx again Layzie As the proud son of a gay Daughter.....we must all make an effort to call out irrational and hurtful slurs wherever and whenever they arise. I know it's a different issue but bigotry comes in many forms and it's great to see just about dlanders find it for what it is...hurtful...irrational and nasty. If it happens at the footy, i will tell them off ( depending on their size of course😀)....or call up security and address the issue. The club's will have to come around and do the right thing too even if it costs them$. In the final analysis it just won't be tolerated and therefore biggots will find themselves alone watching the game on kayo with all their mates ( Zilch) instead of live at the ground. And won't that be nice so we don't have to hear their dribble. Thanks for listening again.- POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
I think a lot of Dland had him for the bin at the end of the season. He didn't even play in the gf from memory. I bagged him as someone that would pick up about 10 disposals and not be too interested. I just thought he and Goody were mates. I was so wrong. Guilty as charged your honour. Goody knows best. But wow what a game winning performance. He seems a lot stronger than before and should introduce a line of energy milkshake powder additives. And it was good to see him and May hug after the win. And what a win. My 84 yo Aunty Who I've never heard swear in my life shocked me by saying on the phone to me after the game.. And I quote.." take that you bloody loser carlron supporters." It may not sound bad but this is the sweetest women in the world. Ah the passion and satisfaction footy can give. Please may it continue for us this year.- Kozzy Racially Vilified
Tx Layzie. Not sure if education works. I think people who make racist slurs have a wide range of issues going on in their lives. From anger...hatred...plain stupidity....low self esteem. Maybe over time education may work but racists need a team of psychiatrists from Vienna working around the clock on them. Education programs may work. As a kid it seemed more prevalent so maybe progress is being made. Poor Kozzie.....could notv find a nicer player in the league imho. Hopefully over time this scourge will go but there will always be some nit wit with issues. I guess I don't understand it. I guess most of us don't. But I'm really happy that people call them out and posts like yours and others continue and will keep coming so racists even if they don't change lack the courage to open their irrational mouths. On a lighter note...go Dees. Is it too early to dream we could win back to back if we win next week. With kozzie to kick five goals ....Fritta and bbb back to their best.- CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Agreed...he picked up his form at the right time of the game too. But he's not the bbb of last year for sure. But milk wasn't either. Don't no where that's gusto came from but I've questioned milks selection everytime. Good thing Goody new what he can still do - POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
