  1. AND Welcome back Petty.
  2. I'm liking our effort. At least we are switched on.
  3. I feel for Petty. I reckon he's trying his heart out but is just so down in form. I reckon he's going to come good. Hope it's tonight.
  4. Cats transition is scary fast.
  5. Great start. Fritta doesn't need much space
  6. Not happy about the five day break.
  7. I agree. Some pundits citing fitness issues. But he's making it to a lot of competitions. I really think most of his lack of form is a confidence in issue. A big game from home would go a long way into a win today. Here's hoping. Go Petty.
  8. Can I please take this prediction back?
  9. Admire your level of confidence. For the most part it has been the same with me for the last three years. But the last two games have given me reason for pause. Even if we play well I wouldn't be surprised if we lost this. It's not unreasonable since they are undefeated. It's our last two games that have me unnerved. That said if we do manage to beat the Cats it's a huge boost to our confidence and chances towards a flag. If we can recapture and bring the same to level of intensity and commitment we took to Adelaide we could very well do it.
  10. Coz Gws usually pants Sydney and the Swan's fans are the biggest fair weather supporters about. But I'm expecting a Sydney win today.
  11. Doesn't he play for Sydney?
  12. It's important to mention too that DV has a huge impact upon children. I'm sure that there are many posters here that have been impacted by one or more of their parents behaviour towards each other. There will be those who object to footy being an area of entertainment escapism that is used to shed light on this. But this is too big of an issue that it's a small price to pay. We simply must do as much as possible to stop all this. Tx for sharing peeps.
  13. Oh dear this is a big game. That confidence I had of yesteryear is slowly diminishing. If we win this it will be back in time for the blues game. Come on Petty remind us why were worried about you being poached. And Jvr we give you the roo chant so can you please clunk a few more. A must win game for genuine flag contention. Us by 5.
  14. Is this our sixth night game out of eight this year? Is the ball more slippery at night? In any event isn't that a lot of night games. I don't mind but just wondering if that's normal.
  15. May take a while but ultimately I see Woey playing more forward or a role in the middle at times.
  16. We are lacking in depth to teams like Carlton who have 11 players out and are doing well. I think we are definitely lacking depth in our midfield and our fwd line is still injury depleted or out in Smith, Bbb ( playing injured possibly, McAdam and Milkshake.
  17. Maybe he could put some pressure on Sparrow when either of those two come back.
  18. Not sure if Woey has been great down back . Line ball. Goody doesn't really change a big margin win. Fair enough.
  19. The advantage hits home in my above post that stipulates despite their double decade dominating of top spot they have two flags. This smacks of a team being propped up by a drastic home advantage to see them fade away without it come finals time and against teams that were actually better. Does the same apply to Ports home advantage with only one flag?
  20. Aside from the Cats Outlier we are pretty much bang in the middle. Interesting because prior to 21 we were at a grand sum of 3. How bad things really were. The cats anomaly is interesting. Firstly it's interest stems from the enjoyment it didn't correlate to cup wins. Second it's obviously due to some external fact.... Oh, now I remember ...how about soft fixtures and a decent number of games at the stadium from hell? On reflection, Port are the same.
  21. I thoroughly believe had Gus stayed in the game or been replaced by an equal sub ( not Laurie) we would have won that game. Or with Melksham not injured the game prior or Bbb injured too or Petty. It was a nightmare of fwd injuries. So it's hard to say that our makeshift fwd line did well with the poor inside 50 entries or not. And yea the entries were not great. As mentioned earlier some easy shots were missed. But we were very unlucky. Not that you can really call Maynard's act a luck element.
  22. Pretty good return. Yep. I'd keep it that way. You've done well . I won fifty on two up on ANZAC day this year. I don't think I'll play it again either.
  23. Played the pokies for the first time a couple of months ago aka the slots ...one armed bandits No such exercise. No heavy lifting required. Just press a button. Whir. Click. Buzz. Spin. Fifty cents down the dunny. Whir ...spin A JACKPOT. Two dollars. Whir spin.....you get the point, if like me you were dumb enough to play them....ten mins later ten bucks removed from my person. Game over. Everything tried in life ( almost).. once right? But how people play these on a regular basis is sad. I'm all for everyone getting their buzz on but how this could be it and the cost involved... I'll never understand. I'll play black jack on the cruise ship. I mean at least there's a sporting chance and some fun. And maybe betting in the past on ponies and Afl ...at least there's. skill/ knowledge involved . Well for some. But those machines suck. Funny, I recall people driving to Echuca to play them. Shame it's not still the way. Might be good for the clubs but not the patrons. A fool and their money I suppose.
  24. Love to see a Darwin team. It would probably have to rotate between Alice and Darwin to work but even then the numbers aren't that good. Also AS has a bit of an image problem at the moment. One things for sure is that Tassie and the Nt residents love their footy. Will Hobart struggle with it's small population? Maybe it's a growing city. Will need to be to fully support an Afl team. Again.....Let's just get rid of Gws and Gcs.
  25. Bunch of deadbeats and it's seven supporters.
