Yea but 4 goals.No player has kicked more than that in a game all year. Clearly a forward possie is where he needs to be and never in the backline. On this basis hes probably a keeper.

Weid was fairly solid but ma y posters have neen quite reasonable to not be happy with his last 3 to 4 games prior. Yea delivery has not always been great but he hasnt shown a great deal of intensity. I.e his lack of tackling in those games. He has had several very good games this year and looks like he will be somthing very special but then goes quiet for at least just as many. I personally thonk he is a very skilled player but does he have the passion. Hopefully he will continue to grow and become even better. I also think he is best suited to playing at chf. He plays better when he has room to move and cant clunk as many in big packs. He is more of an athletic forward than a stand and grab old fashioned type who use their body strength.

No on the contrary, I give him absolute bonus marks for them. My comments are about the whole shebang. If we dont play finals then I think my leaning towards putting blame on Goody has merit. If we do then Ill apologise and be very happy.

They certainly left nothing in the tank in the final.

I certainly question his playing hunt and smith in defence and melksham playing at all. His dog like determination in persisting with tmac instead of brown. Omac at anytime. His gameplan in windy conditions and his dear in the headlight performances on the many times we are getting smashed like the freo game. He hasnt got shocking win/loss ratio but if we are to believe most commentators and punduts we are a good team not living up to our talent. ( ie 2018 we were one game away from a gf.) So we either an average group of players who most of us overate or Goody is not a mastercoach. I know Essendon are a rabble but that 2nd quarter was a hark back to the prelim finalists we were not long ago. In saying that I think a fair ammount of failure has to land on the coach and the sub coaches he surrounds himself with.

Fair call. He has struggled past 2 seasons which ever way you slice it. But he has certainly been good in the last few games hes played. Hard at ball...runs hard and knows where the goals are. Clearly has been played in wrong positions.

Despite the many criticisms I've made of this club and the standard of the team we played, that 2nd quarter was at least a brief glimpse of what this club can do. Add a power forward and a player like Mcdonald Tipungwuti and we could be a contender.

Seriously if we could play 4 of the 2nd qrtr performances we would win a flag me thinks.

That really was The Salem that we all loved. Made a big difference. I think he and Jetta not like they used to be has been a big difference since 2018. Them and Hogan, Tmac and Garlett scoring a bag load of goals. On the positive we now have AA May, Langdon, young and young Rivers. Fix Frittas kicking and pick up a proven 40 plus goaler and we could be in business next season.

Really needs to be addressed Im afraid. To think the bloke was given a captains birth in one game. Had more chances than Tmac.

Maybe Fritta deserves a wrap. Outside of his kicking did very well.

Well congrats to the usual; Langdon Oliver, Max,Trac and May. Nice cameo from Hunt.

As t. Uranus said; Well, we won. Only played one good quarter but, to be fair, it was a good quarter. As bad as the fourth quarter was, our core players stood up in the final 5 minutes to get the last two steadying goals. Really impressed with Hunt's game, 4 goals a good reward. Gawn, Oliver, Salem, Petracca and Langdon all played really well. Weideman's stats won't show it but I thought his workrate was good and he created opportunities for us Just watch the 2nd ...it was a ripper.
