Clearly Tmac us a true confidence player. Heres hoping last weeks game gives him the momentum to dominate again. It was the Tom form last game that got us close to a gf. Heres hoping. -
GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs St. Kilda

We will have a clearer picture of our boys tonight than last weeks game me thinks. Bouyed by JVs inclusion. If Tmac can play like he did last week and Jackson plays more than 2 good qrts we are a good chance. Gawn to do more around the ground. Our backline is as good as it gets with even Tomlison playing well. Heres hoping Trac breaks out along with Kozzie and Langdon blitzs like he did last year. Jordan to play even better. Spargo to surprise all with a bag of 4. Dees by the same ammount. Enjoy. -
Did Bt just say sorry about your suspension to danger? Shhhhh. Do the crime........

You complete me.

Not sure who would come out fot Hibberd.

Another Goody coaching special. Hunt is not one of my faves but he does have a great awareness of where the goals are and if played should be closer to the fwd line.

Who is our midfield leader?
leave it to deever replied to Hellish Inferno's topic in Melbourne Demons
Some interesting observations and not without merit. A working definition of a leader in the footy world for me is someone who inspires players to give their all as well as being prepared to be selfless for the good of the team. (Like S.May in the backline). All of the players have the ability to do this but agreed no one really stands out. I believe Trac is becoming more mature and will be the most likely to perform this role. -
Must do. Consensus here has May and Lever as top dogs. Olver was good with a number of possies and although a little wasteful should still be given votes but below our 2 key defenders for sure.
-
Hes had his detractors but I thought Tomlison played very well. Maybe you are just concerned about this specofic match up. One thing for sure, its unusual for us to have such a solid backline.
-
All agreed the May Lever combo is awesome but I thought It was a good efforr from Tomilison as well. With Hibberd in the offing and Jetta showing glimpses of his old form it seems we have a great backline. Just dont play Hunt there With Tmac and Jackson in form with the options of brown and weid in the future there doesnt seem much to worry about up fwd. Especially with Kozzie ans Spargo in form. That just leaves our midfield which was a tad rusty. Smashed in the clearances. Jordan is a big positive and Trac and Oliver were their reliable selves. Hopefully Viney is back soon and Gus and Harmes improve. Yesterday was a mixed bag but there were so many positives, it seems most of us are feeling much more confident than the game against the dogs.

Does not bode well for Melksham i guess.
-
What if Tmac keeps playing like he did today and Jackson keeps improving? A nice problem to have but I wonder how Weid and Brown fit into the equation.
-
Yes, far from pretty with way too many skill errors but first game of the year. May and Lever were sublime. Actually Tomilison wasnt too bad. A few too many passengers....Jones smiling after an easy dropped mark was annoying and strange Hunt is put in defence but its four points. Opliver too fancy at times but strong. Trac on song to be a champion. Welcome Jordan. Jackson showed promise in the last and Kozzie will be an excitement machine.
-
Well Ill be eating humble pie for dinner. Sorry Tom.mcd.
-
We know our backline is solid. Can we kick a winning score? Action Jackson to srand tall with 3 and Fritta a winning bag of 5. Dees by 2 goals.
-
Our half forward line makes me worry. I aso think Hunt is better up fwd.
-
Enjoy the day Demonlanders. Our team may not be ideal but hey footys back.
-
Seriously could there be a worse name than LadBROKES for a betting company. The name itself should set off alarms. Doggies looking the goods.
-
Given our depleted midfueld it puts more pressure on Trac. The bloke is really turning out to be what we all hoped for and hopefully his trajectory gives us our own dusty very soon.
-
-
Yep. My bad i forgot him. On last games form should be first on the list.
-
Yea i was being generous. I think he used to be better though.
-
I think we have a very even list of 4 parts. An equal ammount of elite players, average players, young unproven and for want of a better word...plodders. Also a few elite players have gotten older and lost pace and skills. Watching Richmond last night is a complete elite list. Small forward or two would be excellent. With Brayshaw having topsy turvy seasons snd Viney injuries, suddenly our glorified midfield looks lacking. Browns injury is a huge blow because Weid although has shown glimpses has in no way shown signs of being an elite forward. Trac, Gawn, Oliver, Lever, Salem and Langdon I think are the only players I would call elite.

Hell probably win the Coleman.

Welcome back the greatest game in the world.?
