  1. Tx PRB. Salem took the most Mark's in the team but usually they are mostly the quick chip out of defence. Not taking anything away from him, he was terrific but I reckon Oliver was better with ten tackles and work in the clearances. But although he had less possies I would actually put Angus in front of them. He played his heart out, put his body on the line time after time and chose the granny to play the best game of his career and kicked true for once😁 which put us back in front.
  2. Interesting to note that dogs had more kicks, handballs, mark's and tackles but still got pantsed.
  3. So looking forward to watch Sparrow and Jackons careers.
  4. I'm confused. I said the same thing except for Tmacs time being up. I'm sure he'll be back better than ever.
  5. TX for that. And yes I wouldn't mind seeing Petty play forward.
  6. I agree about another key forward. Tmacs first half of the season was excellent and a big factor in us winning so many. But he did drop in form for a significant number of games and wasn't great in the finals. He seems to be either " on or off" for want of a better description. Great in 2017 but the opposite the year after. More consistency is required. And Sam W is an unproven forward still. We also need some younger fwd talent to be recruited if we are looking at flags in five years plus.
  7. I agree that Trac tore it up and of course the medal was 100% his. But I was just wondering how close Fritta was? He must have been second. In the modern game six goals is a lot, especially in a final. I'm pretty sure the decision was made about CP quite quickly. But Im keen to hear opinions as to how many goals he would have needed for them to stop and consider BF. For arguments sake let's assume that his poster earlier in the game was a goal and the miss in the last quarter went through as well...would 8 goals have clinched it?
  8. If he kicked one more goal would he have pinched the Norm Smith off Trac? 7 would surely go close.
  9. I'm pretty sure here in NSW the government stings you an annual fee ( more than normal plates) on top of your normal regolith costs. So apart from your initial outlay for personalized plates you keep paying each year. Just another way to keep taking in money. Maybe they outsourced it to a private company. Much like they have done with all our roads here.
  10. Thanks for that. Certainly the most exciting to wear number 24 but sadly didn't have a long stint at the club. Freakish talent, great leap, strong hands and lightening reflexes. Thoroughly enjoyed the few games I saw him in at the G.
  11. Enjoy https://www.afl.com.au/news/688835/melbourne-father-son-draft-prospect-taj-woewodin-has-right-attitude-but-dees-no-certainty-to-match-early-bid
  12. Those were the days when people had to dodge those steel beer can missiles.
  13. Some competition there but I reckon you might be right. Already a HUGE talent and so very young.
  14. Robertson was an excitement machine. Not a very tall fwd...about the same height as Fritta I think but a fair amount more solid. Gee he could leap and like Fritta always knew where the goals were and kicked some spectacular ones.
  15. Enjoy https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/teams/richmond-tigers/afl-news-2021-richmond-tigers-wanted-melbourne-demons-captain-max-gawn/news-story/67c445952015e3298a62404ea7d62d3a
  16. I recommend going back and reading the first couple of pages of this thread. The raw emotion, joy and honesty brings some of it all back. What a club we have now. I hope we see record membership numbers now. And hoping covid won't stop supporters coming out in droves at next years games. No reason why we shouldn't do it again. Probably even easier given the number of young players likely to improve. This isn't a team that struggled. We really only lost three games( crows game didn't count) and we cake walked the finals, especially the granny. And not to knock WA but seeing it all at the MCG would be another bonus.
  17. I wonder if 21 MFC has been snapped up yet? Maybe 22 and 23 would be a good investment and a pleasure to witness.
  18. I really hope his injuries are behind him and we get to see more of what he gave us in the finals. Recovered and played at just the right time and smashed it.
  19. There were five absolute RIP snorters for mine. Our first goal from Trac...off one step kicked the stuffing out of it. Then Frittas leap and recovery. Then Gus's kick which wasn't so much skilful but he normally misses and this one he nailed to put us back in front...it qualifies for his diving mark. Number Four was Trac's dribble and five Sparrow's off a step. I think Trac gets the chocolates just over Fritta. Tough call though.
  20. Was there in 85. Went to east Berlin for a day and couldn't spend the thirty ostmarcs they made me convert. Thought that wall would never come down.
  21. Yep...one would think they couldn't wait to get back on. Winners are grinners. But jags are crap cars. Mabe that's harsh....I guess they have probably changed a lot but I still remember my mates brother spent ten grand on his xjs repairs.it certainly looked good. I always think of the madman scene re nags but TX for the support.
  22. To quote a great man from Adelaide Oval..... Woo hoo!!!!
  23. Yep. Was once again the underbidder of a busted up old bidet on a couple of square feet of earth a few clicks from the CBD. It ain't pretty out there. At least I've got the gf replay to drown out all my sorrows. But I'd mortgage the kids if I could and send the club a cheque if it meant keeping Kozzie and Jackson. Worth every quid.
  24. A destination club if you will.
  25. Love your passion SONS. Feel exactly the same.
