  1. Thanks for that article. It was pretty shocking especially after he took a pay cut. Pretty two faced effort.
  2. As good as this outcome was, it should never have gone this far and I hope it doesn't impact on the young player this round or nibble at his confidence in the way he plays I the future which is hard and fair.
  3. I thought Woey was a lock but now I'm thinking didn't his dad play for cwood as well? Chandler for sure. He has been a really good surprise for us. His goal sense in the praccy games was terrible but now I don't think he can miss them. As for Spargo, if you were a real stats person you could argue he's not best 22. But if you watch him closely you notice how much running he does and its very rare his disposals are turned over. Also seems to pop up so many times and kick a much needed goal.
  4. What were the flat white ones , the size of a 2 cent coin with a swirl on them?( tasted like milky bars).
  5. Yea but price wise they were good value. The kind of item when you didn't have enough funds to buy a fully fledged chocolate bar.
  6. I also remember the good old days of collecting bottles to return to the milk bar. Coke, Leeds and Fanta. I lived in St Kilda and there were lots to get. I stacked all my bottles down the side of the house waiting until I had achieved a certain fiscal outcome. Then one day the price of return went from 10 to 20 cents overnight. My portfolio had doubled in a heartbeat. Oh happy days.
  7. We're probably showing our age with these posts but what a treat to go to the " milk bar" and buy a 10 cents bag of mixed lollies. Sherbet bombs, musk sticks, false teeth, mates, jaffas, freckles, milk bottles, ( yuk) and even the odd fan tale thrown in.
  8. Your right. I had a curly wurly about a year ago. I do remember the pepermint patties as well. ( green wrap) I think it was the sister treat to the old coconut roughs.
  9. It's also the sort of intangible support that younger players in the club will look at and be more motivated to extend their contracts. This is what a true destination club does for its players. Well played Mfc. A worthy four points.
  10. Tx Ds, once again for keeping us bums on here honest.
  11. I think after Jvrgate and with May playing his 200th there will be a strong esprit de corps . As such I too am expecting a big win and statement from the team.
  12. Max is more likely to do this but I have noticed that Grundy is much better at tapping it to someone. I actually think he may be better at rucking than Max even if he doesn't seem to get as high in the air. I'm also surprised at Grundy's ball use at ground level. And speed of hands. He just needs to work on his marking. In fact this has been an issue for a few. GCS out marked us by a big margin.
  13. Jvr will come out and play a ripper. It's great that the club stood by him. I also wonder with seemingly small acts like this, if players take note and are more likely to stay at the club( Chandler). Perhaps Kozzie was pleased with the way the club supported him after his incident. Yea they didn't appeal but Goodwin was most gracious in what he said about it all. And speaking of Kozzie, I think we all feel hes due to kick a big bag of goals soon. This is probably the game for it. And maybe Petty will show some great forward talent. Feel so much more confident after the appeal.
  14. Can we open a post appeal thread now please?
  15. This is ridiculous. It's like watching a bad movie you know you shouldn't but you've invested so much time already. Dont these people have families to go home to fgs? Oh wait.
  16. Looks like a Spoodle or as some plebs call them....cockapoos.
  17. By the ammount following this I wouldn't be surprised to hear a Roo chant go around the city if we win.
