  1. It's one hell of a drive Bitters. But sounds great. Back when swine flu hit, I loaded up my young family and drove from Melbourne to Port Douglas. Stopped at every Maccas on the way . Took about 2 weeks. The highlight for my 4 year old son was a dead pig on the side of the road not far from Townsville. Oh the memories. Don't know how many times I pointed out the sugercane. You could swing through Broken Hill. Though not sure what it has to offer and not sure if you need a 4wd. Then sun yourself later on in Mildura. Personally I think outback SA has more to see especially Cooper Pedy.
  2. Better to return via Barossa.
  3. Currently using our homes equity to feed my lad. Chicken nuggets provide good value and added growth hormones.
  4. Some history with the Eagles.
  5. May usually gets Hawkins.
  6. Agreed. I could give this a like coz ot makes me look really harsh. Ouch.
  7. The big difference about 21 was a dream run re lack of injuries.
  8. Sorry to be picky but can you please dub in the Nutcracker theme?
  9. Really hoping for Kozzie to lift in this one. I love his pressure acts but I want him to impact the scoreboard more. No More high flying attempts. Stick to what you do best. Also would like Chandler to show some of his marvellous form from earlier on this season.
  10. I get the feeling the Afl is in panic mode at present.
  11. Maybe poor Bowser doesn't get back in . With Salo and Hibbo in form, it's tough to get a gig. Sparrow and Spargo from KB allows Petty and Oliver back in. Not ideal outs but it's shows we finally have some strong competition for spots.
  12. Now for the trifecta.
  13. Jvr coming in to stick up for Smith after so called dangerous tackle was a good thing too.
  14. Great goal sense. Best hair in the comp.
  15. Can we just get rid of umpire appreciation week. Tx.
  16. Bowey will struggle to get back in due to Salo. Tommo was simply excellent, so you can't drop him. Oliver obviously comes back in. From Monday's game , Oliver comes back in for Spargo. As for Petty's return, it's a tough call, if he plays forward. Perhaps Sparrow. It hinges upon Smith playing some even better footy. Assuming he does and this new combo works then I guess Bowey, Sparrow and Spartacus out seems tough but shows we have players in good nick and some decent depth. I guess it depends on who we play, if Bowser gets a look in.
  17. My thoughts exactly. Smith in for Spargo still leaves us with plenty of crumbing potential with the smalls you nominated. I often think Friita is a hard match up but throwing in Smith makes it very difficult.
  18. Maybe not completely. ( That tackle of his was wonderful though) But he could go close to replicating a small crumbing role. Perhaps we have been too top heavy with smalls anyway. Spargo, Kozzie and Chandler haven't really been kicking heaps of goals lately. I also think Fritta crumbs very well so do we really need all the others?
  19. Good point. As a defender he was good enough to go with Charlie Cameron. So yea, your right he could play by taking a smalls position. Would make for a really interesting mix of forwards. I hope his form continues as I'd love to see the permutation you came up with.
  20. Was loud on the c7 broadcast too. Tx peeps.
  21. That was a real added bonus to see some glimpses of Smith play some very good footy. His speed was impressive. Also seeing Salo back to his best reminded me how important a player his is for our success. Tommo back to his old form , ( he semed bigger and stronger), was some more icing on the game. With Tommo playing like that, it would definitely allow Petty to continue up fwd, where in his last game, he did very well. It's not to say I don't want Joel Smith playing foward. It would just make a huge difference to our problematic forward line to have Smith and hopefully Bbb vying for a spot. Good call by Goody to give him a run there. Maybe he was our last resort, but he certainly gets another crack.
  22. I get highly paranoid with umpires at Collingwood games. No coincidence that they got the last 3 free kicks and Viney's push in the back was ignored to get the filth within a kick. But heh, that really added some more spice to the meal. Just enough glimmer of hope for them to be let down again. An 8 point win.
  23. I don't either. I do believe the kardinia home advantage has made the cats more successful over the years than if they had the G as a base. They have an amazing win ratio there. But good luck to them. Other interstate clubs fare well at their home grounds. I do find that us pencilled in to play their every year is not fair to us when other clubs never go there. And a Thursday night game makes for unrealistic travel expectations for Mfc supporters. Any way, it's a mute point as I think we will give them a good dusting. Max to do what Max does to the Gfc.
  24. That's a fair call. The reality is I think , it's just not a great venue for a Thursday night game for other Melbourne based teams. Might as well be an interstate one.
  25. I really think the home ground advantage at Kardinia has carried the cats a long way for a long time.
