  1. What's the incentive? Is it more $ relocating this and does the travel fatigue and loss of home adv make up for it. Not for me. Plus it's another game this year loyal fans miss out on. All for sharing the good will but let others do it too.
  2. I know twenty is a lobster but do we have a moniker for 100?
  3. Of Oliver isn't up for AS game, would you roll the dice with Dunstan?
  4. This opinion might be way off but would it have been a good thing for the non competing ruck to have spent all their time forward. Given the way the ball was going in there and that we were down on marks inside 50 . Why do we have them both of not for switching things up? Also, of I were Tommo I would find it very hard to motivate myself to play well. Lucky he's the consulate professional and won't let this affect him. It's not the first time. Just watched the KB game again and the bloke was fantastic. I hope Goody goes back to his experiment of Petty up forward because , while I think Smith is an improvement and should stay, and that Fritta is a medium, Roo has 11 games in him, we need someone else. I'm not the only one who thinks we can play Smith, Fritta, Jvr and Petty together. We are top heavy with smalls that aren't performing too. Spargo just makes way for Petty while Kozzie and Chandler can crumb. Although the latter seems to be out of form. It seems that Tmacs season is over and while I'd love to see Bbb back, I have no idea what has happened to the bloke since his first two really good games. Is it injury, form or has he fallen out of favor? What I do know, is that our forward line is better with Smith but there is plenty of room for improvement. I do think that with our smaller and mobile fwd line we are better suited playing at the G than grounds like Kardinia
  5. Our team plays better at big grounds like the G because we are a fairly fast team reliant on quick handballs into players with space we and we like to use the wings. Kardinia Park is not the format for us.
  6. Some accurate kicking or Anb kicking that goal and we probably have some chocolates.
  7. Not me. I was [censored] at footy from day one. I tried my best but knew I never even play amateur so packed in for sports that would allow for me to still be able to walk at the end of the day. The bitterness comes from other failures. But hey why keep it to oneself? 😃😃😃 I think the frustration comes from Tommo being dropped for an underdone Petty. It was a close game and Could have changed things. Also, I honestly don't get all the time an effort to make Petty a fwd. Finally he showed form and its back to the backline. Confusion for me.
  8. I'm not going to get too upset by last night's loss. Yes it was bloody frustrating cos we could gave so easily won it. But I expected a loss here anyway. It's some sort of alternate universe down there at kardinia or whatever that dump is called these days that despite their form, cats always win. I was really upset by the freo loss. I'm not too negative thanks to our big KB win. It's a tight season and we at our best can mix it up with anyone. We have a good run home and hopefully the brain trust can sort out our forward line. Yes, I said brain. Anyway, needless to say a win against gws is crucial. Get well soon Oliver. Also our injury list may not look huge but since round one we have consistently had key players go down each week. We will be in the mix come September. I just hope we have got sorted by then.
  9. You will enjoy your trip to the Red centre Bbo. Goid time to go.
  10. It's one thing to drop a player who played his guts out but replacing him with a bloke who hasn't played in 6 weeks is just dumb football.
  11. I see Jvr as more as at good chf. My kingdom for a 6.6 big bodied full forward.
  12. Maybe after the game when it's won. A bit like the recent tail enders cricket quote. These things come back and bite you. kozzie needs to do more than just make gestures to the crowd. And while he kicked to very good goals hasn't been over performing.
  13. Good call, he's a specialised type of player with a more limited skillset than kozzie, Anb and Chandler. To have him as a sub just doesn't make any sense at all.
  14. Starting to feel that Spargo is quite limited as a footballer. I give credit to his use of ball but he just doesn't get the pill often enough . He is good as a small forward although can't kick past 40m very often. But since we have Chandler up fwd with Kozzie, Spargos previously role as a goalsneak has diminished somewhat. Mind you so have the other two.
  15. Why did Goodwin go to all the trouble of playing Petty up fwd for so long and just chuck it in after he actually played his best game in that capacity and especially while Thommo was doing so well? Doesn't add up.
  16. I'm glad that's over. It's always a theoretical win pencilled in for the cats played in that hell hole in the middle of winter. Let gfc build up their points tally down there , so we can laugh when they get smacked around when they have to play elsewhere. Without that bog of a home advantage the cats aren't that great. It's why they have previously bombed out of so many finals. That said, there are about 4 Melb players that need to really pull their fingers out and focus on their performance. Oh and can we please buy just one big forward at the end of the year and delist Tmac ( the guy is burnt and crispy) . If Bbb doesn't get a game this season, then I can't see the point of keeping him on either. Although, I'm starting to wonder what selection criteria is used at present, after an in form Tommo was replaced by an underdone Petty. I think we need to drop around 3 blokes this week, for team balance and ego adjustment.
  17. Hibbo looked alright to me( but 3 goals by Rowan on a wet night isnt great) . Some accurate observations after that.
  18. It's the inconsistency that gets me. Umps were red hot on htb at the start then just gave up on it.
  19. Not sure we can continue to carry Anb, Chandler, Kozzie and spargo all at once anymore.
  20. Jvr looked dwarfed by his opponent in width and height.
  21. And Petty who hasn't played for 6 weeks.
  22. Been lamenting on his performance in 21 to this year. A few others too just so much different this season.
  23. Nightmared by so many killer performances, the cats to their credit double teamed him and shut him down to no marks at all.
  24. Spargo and Chandler lucky to get games at present. Was Chandlers purple patch a moment in the sun. I hope not but he's gone very quiet. I love Trac but I don't think a player with his skill hits the scoreboard enough. As for the Grundy Gawn combo scoring effort, We are still waiting. Shut down Fritta and we can't score. Smith's 2 early goals were good but We need ANOTHER tall simon. How can you not see this?
