Thanks oldandgrumpy55.😀

Fgs, what coaches say and do definitely don't always coincide. Not to mention that the team is evolving. It's a big deal he's not playing at all so one can't assume he's still going to spend time in the ruck and play fwd. I'd wager Goody is definitely keeping his cards close as the club doesn't really know what to do at this point. I find it interesting that Goodwin has to take time out to assure everyone that Grundy WILL be playing finals.

Contracted Tomlinson Looks to Move On?

Couldn't agree more. I really think Goody has totally scrapped the Petty move which is strange because as you correctly mentioned, was finally working well. Which really means that Tommo is just a spare. Maybe the media is on to something and that the bloke just wants to play some serious footy in the twilight of his career. Probably a good three years left. His pies performance was no accident. Hes a good footballer and it would be a shame to lose him. I guess when you have depth there is always the annual churn from the yearn to play. -
So the consensus seems that Grundy plays and spends time predominantly as a forward. So the real question is, whoa makes way for him? Bbb was better than Jvr last week but didn't kill it. The Petty plan seems shelved for the season. I'm not sure we will see Smith get another crack fwd unless he comes in there via subway and does well. Pretty sure Tmac is finished. Even if he gets over his injury, time may beat him and his form prior wasn't great.

Was playing very well before his season injury and unlucky he didn't play ina Gf. Since then it's been a tough gig trying to break into one of the comps best defense about. Still don't understand why he was dropped after the pies game. Would be a shame to see him go as probably has a couple of years left in him . Also Hibbo is probably due to leave. Anyway it ain't a done deal yet. -
Given he has been injured in his last two games, one would think a breather wouldn't go astray. If not, then maybe your right about the fd and Thommo. He took ten marks in that game though.
-
A lot I feel will come down to what happens with Oliver and Fritta. Also the Grundy situation and if Bbb will get better and if Milks holds his form. A lot of variables. We have been hampered by injuries from the get go this year. Hopefully we get some luck.

Everyone is a winner.

But given what Max has been saying, it sounds like some agreement was made. I do think that Brodie would have known nothing in footy is guaranteed.

I reckon the Lions will roll them in Brisbane quite easily. Despite our memorable win, they looked very good indeed. And the Gabba is like Kardinia park for oppo teams. So best of luck Scott. Not.
-
Can you recall the last time we played pies in a Q?
-
I still think the cats are carried by the wins they accumulate at Fortress Kardinia. Not saying they're not a good side but without their home advantage they would be struggling this year. They did have a bad run with injuries but I do believe Kardinia gives them probably the strongest home advantage in the comp.

Harmes or from what I've heard about Chandler in the praccy game...him for Spargo. I'm sure Petty is out for Tommo. Smith covers a lot of options as our new sub. I just wonder if he's worth having one more roll fwd maybe in place of Jvr. I suppose that call can be made on the day of Roo is struggling. But yea, I'd forgotten about Harmes. Good call.

Don't get the negativity of ..." He's not a fwd and he'll never be a forward." Like saying Mason Cox isn't an Afl player and he'll never be an Afl player.

I wonder if Hibbo will play next year. Is he contracted? -
I also don't think the money we've spent to acquire Grundy is that huge. Not these days anyways.

Just googled and your right. We have had a total of three. Two currently playing the game in Hogan and Jackson. -

Huge wrap that he was chosen to play on Cameron and he didn't let anyone down. -
Plus rapping up the Ashes

Tx for posting this. Lousy stat for the dons though. Have to say they are as likely as saints and dogs to drop out.

How many have we had. I know Jackson and I think Jesse Hogan won too. Is that it? Guess the jury is still out on Jackson. Hogan has been solid in the games I've watched but the poor bloke has had battles of the ground as well to be fair. -

I stand corrected. I wouldn't include Callum Mills but absolutely on the others. That's probably almost a third of them though. Not a majority which is interesting. But certainly it's more than a few. My bas Tx Ldvc. Totally forgot about Selwood ( probably subconscious). But to be fair a lot...most of, them still don't become stars. Bit like top draft picks to a lesser extent. It's hit and miss a lot of the times. -
Gee, with the cats storming home with a few Kardinia games left, our lions win was huge in so many ways.

No. Detracts from true finals.
