Potentially silly question - what date is the Grand Final? Is it next Saturday or Sunday? Google searches giving me nothing....

Well that was a pretty good afternoon at the footy for my first AFLW game! A good atmosphere and sizeable crowd. I was barracking pretty hard, not many others around me were but IDGAF. I must say quite a different feel to the demographic; it seemed like during the third quarter grind, not many people were actually watching the game! A kind of carnivale/family day type atmosphere which was nice. Some observations: - Tegan Cunningham.....full stop. Only disappointment was missing that sitter. But wow. - Elise O’Dey , also wow. - watching live, daisy and paxman really catch the eye with their skill and hardness. - Mel hickey did hobble off with trainers and was in the 3Q time huddle , so appears not ACL, but unlikely to play again this year :/ - we just looked a class above all day. Geez looking forward to next week! Go you La-Dees!

Not mentioned much thus far is Hogan’s game. I thought he was terrific - 21 touches, 7 marks and 2 goals. Effective involvement in inside 50s, some great ball use, massive tank and just good footy smarts. He looks confident and happy - will be a huge factor for us this season rotating through the midfield. I really like him as a roaming CHF, whilst TMac / resting Gawn tall timber up front.

Watching delayed until I wrestle my 2 yo girls into bed. Then smash out dinner (roasted duck breast, miso glazed pumpkin, sautéed silver beet and homemade plum sauce), skin up, then finally on the couch to watch recording. See you on the other side. Go Dees!

Can anyone extrapolate on Mifsud’s omission? I know she was quiet last week, but is she coming off injury or something? I thought she was meant to be a weapon.

Perhaps more stupid than crazy: Wandered into the heart of the Collingwood cheer squad singing their song outside gate 1(or 2) after the 2012 QB game - which we lost by 30 odd points. I’d had an absolute skin-full and decided it would be fun to sneak my way into their filth huddle wearing my black overcoat and then flung it open to reveal my colours and burst into ‘Grand Old Flag’.
