We're in the 8 (albeit alphabetically) for the first time in 89 games! As Jack said, it certainly has been 29 years since the first round 1 tie. That was Round 1 1982, ironically that round also saw the Swans' first game in Sydney. They played, you guessed it, Melbourne.
