  1. 3-4 senior A-Graders and the rest are B-grade?
  2. That's what intrigues me, however. So many people on here seem as though they want him to have been lying. What is wrong with using one's intuition (hey!) and believing that he was telling the truth?
  3. Some on here would swear until they were blue that he was crossing his fingers behind his back when he said that.
  4. Bad bump IMO. Off the play. The point of this thread is to look away from the wins and losses to determine other KPI's to see how we're progressing. At the moment we're looking at 10 and a half wins. 2 more wins than last year. 2 wins against Gold Coast.
  5. Do yourself a favour and watch it. Do a friend a favour and get them to watch it.
  6. If we were to set groundrules for next season, I'd definitely be in favour of canning the "take-backs" with trades that have happened (sometimes accidently) this season.
  7. This makes for some interesting reading. Have the people who initially thought it was a "train wreck" of an interview watched it again?
  8. 2nd worst. It's more logical, in my view, to put Sydney on the Sunday as they wouldn't then have to travel at all and are probably gunning for the same spot as we are.
  9. link it now to prove it! Thank Christ Melbourne had the bye.
  10. Green played one of the worst 4 goal games I've ever seen.
  11. Not better than Petterd's? Honestly, people are being a little delusional.
  12. He's not wrong. It used to be the other way round, we'd win first up then lose the second. But '08 we lost by 104 then by 19 in a close one that the umpires robbed us in (as always!). '10 they beat us by 56 which should have been 100+, then they beat us by 20 when the rain killed us (as always!). On a side note, I'm going to try my best not to blame Darwin. We had the bye the week before, so we should have been prepared. Teams have won after playing in Darwin before. Sure, we were flat last year after Darwin, but that was with one less day's rest.
  13. [ url=http://www.google.com]My link This is how it looks when you insert a webpage. Use what's written above, but change www.google.com to whatever webpage you're linking to, keep the parentheses et al. And change "my link" to whatever you want to appear as the link. (To make it a link, you just get rid of that space before the u in url)

    CYCLING

Well, it's truly set up for a great finish. Cadel will go third from the last, so Andy will have a few minutes to see what Cadel is doing. My understanding is that 42.5 is a relatively short tour. 2 years ago, Andy lost abotu 1 minute 40 to Contador on the individual time trial, last year he only lost 30 seconds. Two years ago, Andy only lost 30 seconds to Cadel on the time trial. Obviously there are many other factors to consider there, but this isn't the fait accompli that some people are making it out to be. Cadel is favourite, but you'd be mad to write off the gutsy younger Schleck brother. The yellow jersey allows you to do crazy things. On a side note I almost vomited when the Australian commentator said that the yellow may be a burden to Schleck and may hinder his performance. What rubbish, just because it's the Australian in second commentators lose their brain. All tour they rattle on about how the yellow jersey makes people fly and dig deeper, unprofessional in my view. Not that it's a big gripe, and obviously I'm biased, but the people saying how brave Cadel was to hold on against Schleck two nights ago without a whisper of Schleck's 60km solo breakaway effort are just being ridiculous. Evans rode this stage a minute ago and will go close. Schleck by 5 seconds after tonight.
  15. I'm just pointing it out for those that wish to discuss the tour, as a thread made today has already been moved and merged in the "other sports" forum.
  16. For those interested, there is a Tour de France thread here.

Schleck will start his run in 12 hours and 4 minutes I believe. Or 12:18 a.m. tomorrow morning.
  18. It would be pretty funny if, at the end of the season, Scully signs a contract for the Dees lower than the one advertised in the media.
  19. When you're on the page you would like to link (in this case, the article) click the address bar so that the website name goes blue. Hold down control and press C (which copies the text) or alternatively you can click edit up the top of the page and select copy. In a post on D'Land, click the button next to the smiley face that says insert link (it looks like a chain with a plus?). Where it says URL, hold control and press v (which pastes what you've already copied) or alternatively click the right mouse button and select paste. You can also go into edit up the top and click paste. Link text means whatever you write will be what appears in your post for people to click on. In this case, Tom Scully's knee.
  20. The media's treatment of this 20 year old is bordering on, if not well past, disgusting.
