How could you justify spending more than pick 1 on any player who is out of contract? 

I would be furious if I was a Freo supporter, the trade is going to end up being.

Valuing Jackson alone at 3630 points
That’s equivalent to p1 and 30… or two top 10 picks 5/6. 
I would say this would have to go down as the worst trade of all time giving up more than pick 1. 

Alright getting a bit excited at the prospect of bringing him in, I do worry selling the farm for P1 and not addressing our glaring need for a KPF. Here’s how I’d attack the trade. 
 

1) Trade Harmes to Essendon for 3rd rounder (46) 

2) 46 and Tomlinson to the dogs for 35

3) Package 3 second rounders 23 (freo) 34 (ours) 35 (dogs) & 54 (third round compo for losing Jordan - 2059 draft points to GC for pick 6 - 1751 points, they need their points for their academy boy. 
 

4) 4 & 6 F2 to WCE for 1 & F3

that would leave us 1, our first & 89 as our first 3 picks. 
 

Geese that win felt a lot like a loss. 

Thank god for May and Trac. 
 

Grundy and Gawn need to take a long hard look at them selves letting Marshall completely dominate that game.

I think some supporters don’t really remember what 2021 was like, we didn’t click until round 20…
There was lots of doubt surrounding us up to that point, we had just been beaten by the pies (not the side they are today), drawn to the lowly ranked hawks,lost to the giants at home in a really lack lustre performance and got beaten up by the dogs at the G. There was talk about our forward line connection then and if we had the ability to kick a winning score in a big final. 
 

I for one am enjoying the ride, keeping the faith in the FD that we will go deep into September then anything can happen.
