Delistings/trades at end of the season
Tom Lynch never played with Goodwin. Was one of Watts' best mates from juniors, but not reall similar players. Was drafted by St Kilda in 2008 and went to Adelaide at the end of (I think) 2010. Good 3rd tall, probably a better option than Dawes. Kicked 10 against GWS last year or the year before. Will be ok once he wakes up from the hit Viney put on him. Doesn't have amazing awareness, but great courage. Like a shorter less unco Kozschitzke. Would much prefer the GoldCoast version, but that would never happen. Star. Edit: chaser already said a fair bit of this.

I also got that feeling. Howe may have seen the light & commenced negotiations. A public announcement needn't be held for that to happen.

Or alternatively he finds rumours on football forums and turns it into "news" because so many people are willing and desperate to believe.

Bringing Prestia and Weideman onto the list, for instance, would be a great boon for the club.

Not with protected picks. Picks will likely be top 5 or top 10 protected, more often than not.

Neither of which are FAs. And why would they want to go to a team on the slide, that has to give up some of their precious few assets just to get you?

I can tell you that Motlop has one foot out the door, but that foot is pointed in the direction of the crows.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Motlop is out the door at Geelong, but they still play him. It's the way the game works these days, more like NRL than most realise, but the AFL has the sense to make sure it stays out of the public domain.
