Yes was offered by casey but turned it down as it was a worry with their debt and whether they would last in the VFL. Also didn't like the Casey/Melbourne relation especially when the Dees pulled half those players out when finals time come. Has happened the last couple of years. Whats everyones thoughts on these two especially with those that have been going down to training. both will basically be like new recruits if thy can keep there body right? I recall Evans being really impressive in the first couple of games he played and thought he could be a beauty for us. the coaching department rate him very highly as it seems too. Only time I seen taggert play was against box hill and he was very impressive 25 disposals plus 2 goals that game and showed a lot of flair and excitement. Thoughts?

Spot on. I feel for the guy aswell. Had a look over at his facebok and you can tell the bloke is battling depression even saying he wants to do something silly to himself. Good to see blokes like beamer and Aaron Davey reaching out to him still though. just hope he gets his life back in order.

For those wondering who the AIS kids training with us this week its these two very talented players.

Was one of my all time favourites jurrah but as much as I don't wanna be a full on racist the lack off indigenous players drafted this year showed why and I think his comments were actually spot on.. Dayle Garlett is a perfect example and I think clubs are just really not interested anymore in looking out for players like jurrah, zeph skinner etc that come out from the outback knowing in 3 years later they will just walk out on the club. It really is a sad affair with Jurrah as this bloke could have been just as good as Michael O'Loughlin . Jurrah has natural freakiness about him that could pull people through the gates. I really do miss jurrah in the red and blue but he is one of many Aboriginal footballers that just aren't worth the risk anymore.

Surely there is a lot of humble pie to be eaten around the AFL community in regards to Matt Rendells comments earlier this year. Will be lucky to even play a whole year of SANFL footy.
