  1. Agree with a lot of the sentiments in this thread Smith out please: looks far too shaky to play in our otherwise rock solid backline
  2. Made hard work of but happy to rack up another W
  3. I think it will be a pretty close game today and the Tigers will be up for the fight but we will prevail by 3-5 goals
  4. Looks like we’ve decided that the rest of the competition doesn’t measure up so we might as well experiment: in one of the biggest games of the year
  5. I also think it will be Weid out for BB - Tmac despite not being in great form lately still plays with a physical presence that Weid hasnt been able to find yet, and can kick a goal and contribute in general play. The Weid needs to find a few more tricks to his game and ways to win the ball other than clunking a mark, he's a touch one dimensional.
  6. Yeah I thought the same - didn't really attack the ball at all, looked a bit disinterested
  7. Hoges didnt get enough of the ball for there to be much booing....
  8. GWS have got the makeup of their side badly out of balance - way too many inside mids who rack up big possession numbers but not enough outside run and no key targets to kick it to. Makes you wonder how its possible to have that many top picks and not be able to draft or trade for some key position players.
  9. I 2nd this LOL….no way Brown is left out of ANZAC eve
  10. He’s amazing he looks like a schoolboy but plays like a 150 game star
  11. Hard to see where the next loss is coming from to be honest!
  12. The good part is our players don’t seem to think like that anymore, even if us supporters haven’t quite shaken it!
  13. I don’t reckon we care much about stoppage and clearance we setup to win the game through turnover and are usually happy to let the oppo have an extra in the midfield while we put ours behind the ball.
  14. GWS are a dangerous side but they generally have a bad quarter (see vs Tigers and Dockers), so we need to capitalise on that then our defence will do the rest
  15. I rate Tomo but Petty is a star, had to fit him in now he’s fit
  16. Rest trac in the forward pocket against GWS and he’ll kick 5!
  17. Nearly had (another) heart attack when I saw it but it seems he’s good to go
  18. Petty plays if he's ready for mine - too good a player to be kicking around in the VFL
  19. We'll win unless Hoges goes nuts against us and kicks 8
  20. It’s worth a week, can’t do much except cop it and move on
  21. As others have said a very frustrating game we had plenty of chances to win but did look tired…should get them this time
  22. Time to be the first team ever in the AFL era to win the flag undefeated I reckon
  23. Even in an average game BBrown will kick a couple of goals and get involved…Weid sadly pretty much does nothing when he has an ordinary one
  24. We all love Gus and he'll always be a Demons legend....but if he helps us to back to back flags this season then really wants to move on its something we will just have to accept as the realities of modern footy
  25. Exactly. The oppos don’t want to go head to head with us the ugly football is more on them
