Not quite sure of shaun atleys current contract status or north's willingness to keep him but would he be worth a straight swap for howe?
-
Could Bastinac be involved in the discussions with North?
Hope not, theres only so many bugg, melksham, kennedy like recruits we can do in one trade period before it gets excessive

Something big is brewing guys........... not PD
Next week will be big.
What is brewing

For some reason, one I have never been able to understand, ever since I first saw Melksham play in 2011, I have always and inexplicably rated him. There's just something about the little things he does that suggests there's a player in there. Long kick, good in the contest, good team player. Hopefully we can turn his career around

As the draft this year is considered to be 'the most shallow in years,' wouldn't it be worth holding onto Toump for at least one more year and hopefully he can get some continuity next season and really start to perform after showing some glimpses this year.
If not, as long as he doesn't have an absolute stinker, he should still be worth a late second rounder or more likely an early third round pick.
If he wants to leave maybe we could look for a future second rounder (although not Port Adelaide's as surely they'll shoot up the ladder next season), possibly St Kilda's in this rumoured 3 way trade?

Just a good old fashioned footballer, would definitely trade for him.

Sometimes we forget T-Mac was pretty much BOG every week for the first 10 or so weeks
1 Vince
2 T Mac
3 N Jones
4 J Viney
5 J Hogan
I feel that Viney deserves it as much as anyone, but probably missed too many games.

Draft watchers, who are the kids in this year's draft who can hit the broad side of a barn under the slightest pressure? I'll take seven of them.
Like James Strauss?

I haven't seen him play. Would you compare him to someone like Stringer?
Ive played school footy against petracca (not trying to talk myself up by the way) and a lot of my mates played footy and went to school with him and hes in another league to Brayshaw when assessed by anyone who played with both of them.
Jake Stringer is a good comparison for his foward line style of play and the way he barges through would be tacklers. He'll be similar to dustin martin but with better skills at the start of his career i think.
Maybe a josh kennedy with better pace and goal kicking nous would be a good comparison as well
All this depends on how he recovers from his knee injury i guess

Strong in the contest and an absolute bull in traffic; Brushes off/bursts through tacklers extremely easily and is very explosive off the mark. Can take a mark and just accumulates goals. Kicking's pretty solid/penetrating but like most young players can tend to just bomb the ball long
He'll start off as a HFF with short bursts on ball as his endurance isnt elite but as he ages he'll spend more time in the middle. If youre impressed with brayshaw you havent seen anything yet!

This comment by Roos has been taken out of context
In isolation it sounds bad but in full, he stated, in response to a question on the sides poor disposal, “at least the players are trying to implement our faster game plan" but this leads to mistakes and turnovers
Pretty fair comment imo

Out: Howe (hopefully suspended), Dawes (Useless)
Ins: Grimes, Newton
Leaves us a bit short but dawes has provided nothing. Possibly Fitzpatrick in for stretch and play tmac forward.
-
What was said in Roos presser
Gawn and viney were ok
Forwards couldn't bring the ball to ground
Pretty much said poor accuracy lost us the game.
No mention of the past

When a team kicks 7.18 and has 58 inside 50's whilst keeping its opposition to 69 points I'm not sure how you can blame the coach.
This ones on the players and in particular that muppet chris dawes who's only value to the team ever since he has arrived has been 'providing structure' that is being the only tall bloke available on a poor football team.

Hopefuly howe cops a long suspension for the tackle he laid that concussed a bloke (think it was browne) because the coaches don't seem to want to make that call.

M jones and bail have to go. As others haves said harmes and jkh would be good ins.
One of spencer or dawes has to go as our forward line really lacked speed

A pick in the mid to late 30's should be appropriate surely but how we get one I'm not quite sure
