  1. They definitely do drill it in. Under pressure you will always revert to bad habits. He hasn’t got past his bad habits yet. It can take a long time
  2. I want the air out of the tyres long before that. First interstate grand final for a while between gws and bris. The afl will be gutted. And what an uninspiring spectacle it will be. The afl need to get what they deserve with the way they run things. I want as much of the country to tune out as possible
  3. They will play these two games for years to come. It will be called how to gift teams a prelim. It sums the year up quite beautifully. Gotta be the smallest average losing margin for a team ever. tonight felt very familiar. Chip away for no return only to have one skill error result in a turn over goal for the game. Teams are left speechless after playing us. They thought they’d be reviewing a loss, but they are reviewing a win. petty and melksham may have been the difference this year. We looked a different team briefly when they were up and about. Injuries play a big part again. don’t know what to think. Plenty still working. We might be the worst skilled really good team ever.
  4. Just need to break even for the first five minutes
  5. Right now is when we run over them. They are cooked. We just need a little composure
  6. Two points down is a good place to be. We can run over them. Just can’t afford any silly goals to them. Winning contested possession. More scoring shots. Just need to out run them this half.
  7. When have they ever paid 50 for that
  8. I’ve done some maths. We ran all over Sydney and Sydney ran all over the Carlton. Carlton’s defence isn’t as good as Collingwoods. I think it leads to one simple conclusion.
  9. If we kicked straight we would have won the other night. Last year we couldn’t run due to injury. Context is relevant. Playing tough, hard football is timeless.
  10. Who’s actually taking in football media these days? It seems everyone I know can’t stand it anymore and has switched off. I can’t help but feel the afl is headed for trouble with its poor management and horrific media arm. It has some serious things to sort out
  11. I really hope we haven’t seen the last of him.
  12. What bothers me is that no one has any idea how it will be adjudicated. This is increasingly true of a number of rules. The afl love the grey areas of the game. Increase conversation and fan engagement etc. But surely with an incident like that one we should all have a pretty clear idea of what the result will be.
  13. The afl has shown tons of common sense so far with these situations.
  14. We also need a few more elite ball users. Half the reason we suck in the wet is we lack composure and execution due to our average skills. We had petty going along beautifully. It’s not anyone’s fault he got injured. Our forward line got dealt a fair bit of bad luck. Every chance the gun forward we recruit does their knee or foot too
  15. AFL only cares about the end result. They’ve shown this all year. That end result was one of the worst all year. Bad luck Maynard
  16. The afl clearly don’t care about context either. They care about end result. This is why he’s done. Brayshaw got stretchered off. That’s what the afl care about
  17. How does that get off if Toby Bedford gets a week. He hit him in the head, feet off the ground. That’s the end of it, surely
  18. We didn’t have a choice. If we had petty or melksham or both we win that. What can you do. Injuries play one of the biggest parts in winning flags as we learnt last year and are learning again now
  19. If Maynard gets off after Bedford got a week I quit football
  20. We still suck in the wet. At least we lost it rather than Collingwood winning it.
  21. God knows why I have to have a number of friends that are Collingwood supporters. Growing up in the north probably makes it worse. They’re everywhere. At least the ones I know are a couple of standard deviations above the average supporter. Still I’d rather not have to deal with any of it. I hope we never have to play them in a final again.
  22. Me and Iggy pop are built differently. I feel like you are asking to sound terrible by going down the live route. No one represents themselves as well as possible in these situations playing live and it’s through no fault of their own. You get a bit of wind and you are doomed. Which is only one of a million ways it can fall apart. I blame the afl. Like I do with most things. This two weeks has been horrible. I hate the bye and I hate Collingwood more. I feel like I’m pacing around unable to concentrate on anything. Losing this game would hurt more than most to state the bleeding obvious. I am living with a high level of underlying anxiety for the next month it seems. Sometimes I miss sucking as a football team. No expectations had its perks. Then I think how much it will suck when I no longer get to watch max, Clarry, trac, Gus, may etc and I quickly snap out of it.
  23. I struggle to pick up jokes sometimes. His voice was well and truly shot. But who wouldn’t play some provincial football games grand final that no one in the northern hemisphere will Ever see for a mil or two
  24. Yeah I know. I missed a couple but it is overwhelmingly the case. Playing live in these settings is fraught with danger in my opinion
  25. It has come to my attention that apparently plenty of Collingwood supporters hate Melbourne. I’ve had quite a few comments along the lines of “especially against Melbourne”. I never noticed this before. Perhaps it’s just cause we are playing them this week and that’s how they operate. Some serious arrogance amongst them.
