    And Dunn

The only way I can justify that deal is that they're speculating we will finish bottom 5 next year. Although with the likes of Rockliff and Lewis, that raises more questions than it answers. Perhaps Rockliff is really THAT bad of a bloke. Who knows.

keep in mind...Brisbane is the new basketcase... also Maybe Fagan has some insights and want a 'cleaner deck : to start with.. who knows

They could easily get better currency elsewhere. Mind-boggling if true (although that won't preclude me from being a very happy man).

Starting to warm to the Rockliff idea, as long as we can get brisbanes 2nd round pick for 2017 instead of their pick 30. That way we would still have a half decent pick next year.

So would be gaining Rockliff, pick 19, Bris 2017 2nd rounder

    giving up 2017 1st, pick 29

Why would Brisbane do either deal? Sounds far-fetched to me.

    The jungle drums are beating.

Jordan Lewis in a Dees jumper will be bloody hard to get my head around. It would be akin to Jack Watts shaving his head, getting a sleeve tatt and wearing a Collingwood jumper. Just... weird. I'm all for it though if he comes cheap.

Some dude actually reported this on here several days before the media caught wind of it. It was in the Trade Whispers thread and was considered so ludicrous that it barely got a reply. Can't be bothered sifting through all the pages to find it, but that poster has serious credits in the bank now.

I still can't get my head around the fact that he chose us. Not the other way around. Absolutely bewildering.

Well it sounds like we've given up on Hogan re-signing.. What's with the talk about him holding us to ransom and having an ego?

He put off contract talks until the end of the season. Most of us were fine with this when it was announced earlier in the season. The season for us has been over for less than a week and already posters are losing it. He's gone home and will probably discuss his future with his family. I don't think we're going to get an answer within the next couple of weeks so probably best to just relax a little.

Yep, unfortunately all we have now is our opinions (that applies to both sides of the debate).

For the time being, it's best to concede that we simply don't know. Peacefully agnostic because it's out of our control.

There's a noticeably better on-field attitude at the Giants than with our kids. Certainly no sulking from their key forwards, they just get on with it.

Starting to wonder if this is a coaching problem and nobody wants to bring Hogan to account. His body language is pathetic and surely brings teammates down with him.

I'm worried they confuse his juvenile behaviour as a sign of competitiveness. And thus it's somehow acceptable, provided it's kept in moderation.

  7. Jesse will be a quality player. The question remains though: is he committed to the Melbourne football club?

I see no reason to think that the presumption should be that Jesse is happy to stay in Melbourne. And that anyone who disagrees bears some large burden of proof, otherwise they have ''rocks in their head.''

To say that suggests either that you're presuming that he wants to stay in Melbourne, or that you think Melbourne should keep him regardless of his intentions to go back to WA (because he's a good footballer). Which one is it? If it's the former, why do you think that?
