  1. Labor Incompetence Levy - I like that. Yeah it seems the Govt. may be in trouble - so vote Labor back in so they can build more school halls, instal more batts, chop and change "leaders", create an even bigger deficit etc. - so the future levy/tax will have to be even bigger - but no worry - our grandkids will pay it. Yep - I think I understand that.............................................
  2. "dee-luded" - perhaps not a bad name (no offence meant). It could only be the most obscure computer software that had a Y2K problem - and it could only be software written by idiots. The crap the Company I worked for went thru re Y2K when there was no problem and we knew it was unbeeelieeeeevable. The accountancy firms used scare tactics to prey on old Company Directors who thought computers were some kind of magical devices - not machines programmed by intelligent and responsible human beings with software only being adopted when it was proven. The accountancy firms made a packet and then some of that great scare. Planes didn't fall out of the sky after we ticked over in to the new millenium etc. etc. No-one was a sceptic before the GFC happened - they just didn't see it coming - there was no big warning - I agree with you - things are still very dodgy - but I am not sure what that has to do with climate change.
  3. You AGAIN hardtack - are you stalking me. He is supposed to be an ambassador and role model for all Australians - not just the Indigenous Australians and bang on about their cause all the time. Go Dees.
  4. Now you are talking Nutbean - forget Jacqi Lambie. Watched Billy Stretch in the National U18 Championships - loads of talent - is he big/tall enough to match up against the likes of the Freo midfield??? I don't know??
  5. Scary given the Lions recent form (and Stef Matin's recent form) - even more scary at the DEMON GRAVEYARD aka Etihad. Please Dees, please!!
  6. At his best for a couple of seasons - he was a real gun - goals from outside the 50 on the run - strong marks etc. Sad finish. Him and Brock McLean in the same draft - McLean fantastic in the win over the Saints in the final in 2006 (last final win when Dees finished as top Victorian club) - but then the sour grapes bit on On the Couch which started the tanking enquiry when everyone knew just about everyone had done it. Brock was touted as a future MFC captain. So sad that Sylvia and Mclean's output for the Dees wasn't what it could have been.
  7. Right Moonshadow - been a fantastic player BUT please Dees NO, NO and NO at his age now.
  8. Sick of being losers. Any win, any step further away from the bottom - they are the only steps in the right direction. All those who don't care about finishing last surely cannot be true Demons at heart. And winning is the only way to get younger fans on board permanently - not as if MFC is breaking any records for young fan members/supporters. THE REST OF THE SEASOIN COUNTS.
  9. What about this year - Newhouse has made the final table (3rd in chips) FOR THE 2ND YEAR IN A ROW - INCREDIBLE.
  10. You have got to be kidding. Reminiscent of the Y2K bug - at least that got put to bed when the clock ticked over to 12.01 on 1 Jan 2000.
  11. Goodesy not doing himself any favours in over doing the Indigenous Aussies bit as Aust of the Year - far more to focus on in the role you have been given Adam.
  12. Bit tough for all the Pommy bashers (not that I am totally against that when it comes to cricket) at the minute. The Poms in a very strong position going into the last day of the current Test. See Cooky let his team mates take all the risks chasing quick runs in the the 2nd dig while he just accumulated and got his red ink. Still not 30 and closing in on being the highest scoring Pommy Test batsman of all time.
  13. Geez Nutbean - I have never met you but I do know you could do far better than Jacqui - give it a try. (sweet is not the word for Jacqui - uurrgghh!)
  14. Forget O'Keefe - TOO OLD!! (and more clogging up of the list). The big clubs are going after Wingard - so have a crack at him - nothing to lose - Demons must take on the big clubs - NOW!!
  15. No harm in trying - but cannot possibly see it.
  16. Ah - just got it it - Soidee started this. Soidee is the Mighty Demon who is going to watch the top sides play for the rest of this year - had enough of the Demons. Great attitude I don't think!!
  17. Soidee you cannot be serious. Are you one of those who walks out at 3/4 quarter time when all hope is gone. Should have been at Waverley in 1979 when Fitzroy beat the Dees by a lazy 190 points - always should stick it out to the end of the game, the end of the season.
  18. Care re Hogan - remember what happened to Jack Watts first game agst the Pies on Lizzies birthday - I know Hogan is a lot stronger - but get him right for next year - full stop. What is it with Dees forwards - Templeton a goner from the start, Warren Dean going great - then did a knee, Bennett was very good - along came Jakovich so Bennett went then Jako didn't last long, Schwarta was terrific but would have been an absolute Superstar without the knee recos, G Lyon with his crook back at the finish - 9 goals in a final til 3/4 time then had to go off, Jurrah, Mitch Clark, Hogan this year - DEMONS JINXED!!
  19. Sorry Lamashtu - O'Keefe - was a great player - but not wanted for a week let alone a year at this stage. Yep - Nicho for 2 high picks. Yep Whitnall after Lars - I saw him play for Lalor about 6 or 7 years ago - the team ran out and he hobbled out behind them as big as Texas. Re Nicho - that means 3 top picks for Blease?????
  20. Another nail in the coffin of equalisation. 1964 was along time ago.
  21. Every loss further risks losing young supporters forever. I know, my 6 year old grandson is wavering. It is not as tho the Club can afford this - it is not as tho the Club has a healthy Junior membership.
  22. As I said before - enough of this. Hey Nutbean - if you were rich and had a decent package, even if you were mute, you would expect to do better than Jacqui wouldn't you?
  23. Good luck Shannon. I think Shannon would be well aware he didn't have a great impact at Melbourne. Anyway Best Wishes for the future Shannon.
  24. old dee is spot on. Cannot afford anyone unproven (think Neeld) So somehow/someway have to get Roos long term or make a big play for someone with the runs on the board - probably dreaming but - Clarkson, Chris Scott..............
  25. Better to let this rest. But cannot help noting that P - man has said that "some careful budget management is needed" - no argument there - would only say it was needed from 2007 and we didn't get it and what happened from then until the milky bar kid melted away is probably why it is especially needed now. Can Abbott and Hockey do it - I don't know. Could Rudd/Gillard and Swan do it - no they couldn't. As for Vic - cannot believe the electorate have forgotten myki and the Desal plant already.
