  1. Sound resume indeed for a mass murdering swine and major bullduster.
  2. Interesting article in this morning's Counterpunch: FEBRUARY 9, 2017 Trump’s Truth Bomb: “You Think We’re So Innocent?” by JOHN WIGHT Email “Putin’s a killer.” This was the claim made by Fox News ‘journalist’ Bill O’Reilly during his recent interview with Donald Trump. Trump’s reply came in the form of a simple question. “What, you think our country’s so innocent?” It was a reply that succeeded in puncturing the bubble of exceptionalism in which Mr O’Reilly and those like him have long chosen to cocoon themselves from reality. It was an extraordinary exchange, one that has gone viral on social media since. For liberals in the US and beyond it is being touted as yet more evidence of the fact that Donald Trump is completely unsuited to the rigors of the office of President. Meanwhile for dyed-in-the-wool neocons it suggests a leader of the so-called free world who is yet to realize the difference between ‘us’, the good guys, and ‘them’, the bad guys. “Putin’s a killer.” Just ponder this statement for a moment, consider the ignorance, arrogance, and delusion it describes. Consider, too, the millions of human slaughtered by successive US presidents over the years, going back, say, to the Korean War and working your way forward. That they were killed in the name of democracy and human rights, at least according to Bill O’Reilly and the rest of the gang over at Fox News, is a boast as preposterous as it is grotesque. Firstly, justifying the wholesale slaughter of men, women, and children in the name of democracy renders the word completely meaningless. And secondly, what Mr O’Reilly describes as democracy others would describe as imperialism. But then, you see, this is the problem when you sit at the apex of the most destructive empire the world has ever known. It distorts your sense reality to the point where you become intoxicated with the associated myths used to justify this empire and the vast destruction it has wreaked and continues to wreak across the world. We see this distortion in the way that Barack Obama has been allowed to walk off into the sunset with the highest approval ratings of any US president in living memory, lamented as one of the most progressive leaders ever to occupy the Oval Office. It is a rendering of the legacy country’s first black president that fails to pass even the most tepid scrutiny. Obama’s administration was, to be frank, a veritable killing machine, one comprising almost daily drone strikes, kill lists, and the wholesale destruction of entire countries, as in the case of Libya. In his final year in office the US dropped 27,000 bombs, up from the number dropped in 2015. Yet we are meant to regard the 44th president and recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize as the modern incarnation of Dr Martin Luther King, a president who worked tirelessly for peace and justice. etc etc etc
  3. A bit like you rants.
  4. I wish you were Harpo, totally silent.
  5. jaysus you talk excrement, Mr Biff. You are a bogan and a hater. A fear merchant, a bigot who stoops to the lowest craven denominator. In other words, sir, you have been totally BRAINWASHED. A pity because at some stage your brain cells were curable.
  6. You are so right. The biggest irony is that according to Koestler and Schlomo Sand, the Palestinians are the remnants of the Jews who didn't go to Spain and other parts of the Middle east, that in fact, the Ashkenazi Jews are actually descended from the Khazars, a Turkic people who converted to Judaism in the 9th Century. Genghis and his hordes wiped them out, they went north, into Russia and Poland, i.E. became the Ashkenazi Jews.

Always knew you were one of us, a friggin genius. I still despise your slant on history. You should stop reading Biggles.

If they weigh a whale at the Whaleweigh Station, where do they weigh a pie?

Ah, not to mention the privilege of being an Ulster Scoot, that wonderfully rich cultural ancestry of dwelling in bogs and being sustained by the noble Taittie. I envy you, most of all, because of that inimitably poetical cascading Irish brogue.

You sound blessed: being able to swear in 4 languages. Not even my father swore. Or my mother. I was distinctly underprivileged. Ah, what treasure, German/Polish/Jewish neighbours. I had the Morris Family, Doris Morris, who married the two timing Terry Twomey, and Ronald Morris who called me a poofta because I liked Beethoven. Still, I was able to bowl him out mercilessly when we played cricket, mainly because I was fast and because at that time I was the greatest living German cricketer. That was after many years of fruitless overs. And, I admit, he kept encouraging me to bowl faster. He had no fear. Of a tennis ball.

    It's a form of auto-didactic proselytizing. FYO.

Most of you have missed the great literary genius behind this post. And English is not my mother tongue. Ah, the poetry and symbolism, Scot, Scat, the simple fact that a german knows the difference between a vowel and a consonant... Pearls before pork munchers, and those who abhor the meat because in the olden days it rotted before a sheep or a cow or a horse or a camel or a donkey did. A refrigerator would have changed the kosher habits and aversions of all Semitic people, their Muslim cousins and brothers and sisters and fathers and mothers included, and given them the benefits of what my favorite Lebanese Deli in Orrong Road used to call 'Kosher Ham.'

Yes, strange place. I was born there, fled when I was two. Then my parents thought they were going back but forgot about the difference a consonant and a vowel or two makes. Ended up among the Scotch thistled paddocks and outside dunnies of North Sunshine ( So we're back in Scatland.) I've never recovered.

Read the fine print, DC, ignore the salacious pictures, she's a Spanish National, of Mexican descent. Apparently into ice cream and concrete. So much so for being a 'Used Ice Cream' salesman.
  18. dieter replied to Redleg's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
So, what's not to like about her? One less Ice cream salesman in the world? And the first husband? Well, apparently the klutz kept overcooking the asparagus.

Some chose not to. We are Melbourne Football Club supporters. What would we know of the habits of the lowlifers?

"Quits then. You are obviously not in the mood for levity". Reply to Ernest by Mr Biff. Like this I thought he was in the mood for some levity. It made me laugh anyway.

Couldn't agree more. The bottom line is heresy is heresy. I can feel an immolation coming on.
