  1. Does not answer my question nor address my response. Oh well.
  2. As someone in the fold, you should know how the TV and print media behaves and its laws of the jungle. I am surprised you get so seminlgy worked up by it given your exposure. Nothing of those matters you rail against are any different to what has been going on for the past 10 to 15 years. Anyway back to the footy..... Bradshaw to Carlton and Fev to Brisbane. Who would have thunk it?
  3. Its got little to do with price. They could get him in the PSD. Why would GC chase a fringe player from a bottom club when they would have so many other options to go for? Its naive they will be out to get stocking fillers. He will be 27 at the end of 2010 and as a fringe player.....its good bye.
  4. Broadcasting is self regulated. Poacher / Game keeper. Nothing will happen. Footage on the show was a storm in a teacup. Fev is another issue. I think Fev was going from Carlton anyway. This only heightened the matter on the Richter scale from 6 to 7.
  5. Really?? Wise move Nothing personal. But you have a tendency to be "astounded" by TV behaviour and "overdrawn" on trite print media like the Hun.Shows like the Footy Show are pits for good taste and humour. Nothing should surprise there Not much difference between the two occupations. (Sorry Jack and Reubin!)
  6. Exactly so why were you astounded as such antics are pre screened by the TV stations? Ch9 have a long history of catering for such pathetic antics. Thanks for proving my point.
  7. Yep. And its absolutely fantasy that GC will be chasing Miller when he cant even get a consistent game at MFC. Oh that right, Miller comes from Qld. Therefore GC will organise a family repatriation trade offering high draft picks for him. Maybe they'll also offer one to Petterd. While many criticise Miller, his leadership and work ethic is exactly what has been missing from many of our forwards. I would be happy if Watts and co learnt those traits off Miller. Jamar is an interesting one. I would have thought he would have been offered two years.
  8. Off to your tribe and greetings to your chief. BTW, Lord of the Flies is a Year 8/9 text in schools for the past 40 years. Bypassed it have you?
  9. Problem is that Dick Pratt liked Fev and legacy remains. Who are the takers for him anyway? Can t see the Pies going for him.
  10. Given the Footy Show had the appalling lack of basic good judgement and taste 12 months ago to publicly humiliate and denigrate a female journalist in the way they did and then think it was good copy for TV, I would not have thought it out of the question that there were any other boundaries that the Footy Show would have. Both the Footy Show in Victoria and NSW have a history of appealing to the base attitudes of the lowest common denominator in our community and Ch 9 has a well earned reputation for supporting shows and antics like this all in the name of ratings. It got nothing to with the viewing of the actual programme involving Fevola. I am surprised you could be astounded by the Footy Show's attitude to Fevola given their history. Fev is a wingnut but it was cleared he was inebriated fodder for the schoolboy entertainers on the Footy Show. And for someone who makes a perpetual point of advertising your involvement in the TV industry, it does not seem to provide you with any insight or knowledge that makes the repeating of the point necessary. Maybe you should watch the Frontline shows and it might give you more perspective than you carry at the moment.
  11. Who cares? He is gone. You should get over getting steamed up about fluff in the Hun. I can assure you there are bigger things in life. Wonderful self justification of behaviour. Its only a game not a fight in grass skirts I think I will re read Lord of the Flies and tune in to your wave length. McLean is not a great warrior. He is a six year player whose is injury ridden with limitations and seeks a new start. Nothing new its happened before. And its not just McLean cop out. He was playing a lesser role at MFC going forward and was going to be paid less by MFC. Some supporters had a fixation with what they wanted McLean to be that he would never become. Its a reality check. He doesn't deserve the outpouring of people's social ills for it. Anyway...Ugh Ugh..*adjusts red and blue warrior mask and disappears back into jungle*.
  12. Given that Brock out of his own voluntary savings contributed $25,000 to the MFC debt demolition I cant believe the trite and unreasonable and at times spiteful vitriol that alot of supporters have directed towards him. I can think of a couple of MFC footballers that have given less on and off the field for MFC but are revered in some strange way. Bizarre.
  13. And you claim you're in the TV industry? Isnt Jacques from Zennia Mortgages the most factual voice on SEN?
  14. Agree. Losts of water (and blood) still to flow on this one. Count me in on that count. Looks like a little storm at Hawthorn. Beautiful.
  15. Sorry you missed the sarcasm in my post. There was no option for MFC at the end of 2004 to get rid of Jamar or Jolly. Sydney only wanted Jolly not Jamar. Jolly cracked the sads when he could not get game time when White was AA ruckman and wanted to leave. Jamar was well behind Jolly in the development stakes.
  16. I think Digga could have achieved that on his own.
  17. Agree. Adelaide and Richmond have come to mind. No Jordan McMahon pick ups for the Tigers!!! If MFC had not traded at all, you would get the inevitable naive posts concluding that MFC did not trade : 1. MFC believe our list is ready to challenge for a flag. 2. MFC have failed to improve its list. 3. MFC are negligent because they did not arrange a trade for Newton,Bell, PJ, Bartram and any other fringe player. 4. MFC believe the players in point 3 are must keep and are highly rated. I am sure there are others.
  18. Steady on. MFC should go for a fair deal and get Boak + 9 for Jamar. Come on Melbourne get serious on doing a win win deal!!
  19. Last roll of the dice. I was not convinced with what I saw from Meesen in the 4 games. More a case of hope. However, some of his games at Casey were putrid. Physically and psychologically I wonder if he has what it takes to make it in AFL. He has another year. Anything positive we get will be a bonus...if he is fit.
  20. Bell was on the table last year and no one was interested. He has done nought in 2009 to change that interest. Oh wait on, he is from Adelaide so therefore Port Adelaide will be enticed as part of a Burgoyne deal. It could be the sweetener that swings the deal our way.
  21. Apparently hears footsteps....... Carlton are crying out for a 2nd forward option but Fisher cant get a game. Avoid at all costs.
