  1. He's a [censored] but I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Thank god there are some people here who understand footy.

He's not Akker. He isn't on rape charges.

Harry O would be awesome in our backline. We would have the best backline and forward line in the comp.

  2. I also couldn't believe how much muscle Grimes has lost. He is gaunt. I was 'introducing' (indoctrinating) a Californian to our great club today and this person pointed out how tiny he looked compared to everyone else.

Once again, he has a lot of work to do, poor guy.

  3. 22 Dees players v 22 Swans players and 3 umpires.

    They lost Reid early.

They had the umps all day.

Nicholson was a sneaky Swan today.

    So 21 v 25 all up.

Good effort Dees. Proud of your endeavour. I was throwing the remote in a 'we're back in it' way, not a 'I'm not renewing my membership' way.

  4. BH's history on picking at talent, good players etc, is laughable at best stuie

I read BH cozI like a good laugh

JW played his best game ever last night IMO.

I want him to succeed and I want him to keep it going.

What BH doesn't spell out for you I will:

Watts will need to play 50 more games like the one last night to not be considered a poor high draft pick selection.

  5. The most interesting thing about Carlton is how thoroughly uninteresting their list is.

Once Judd retires they are well and truly boned. They have a very surprising lack of depth in their VFL side. No forward line, workmanlike backline, much-hyped but ultimately timid ruck division (Warnock & Kreuzer), their midfield is better than us because of one M Murphy.

Their tweener forwards remind me of the countless failures of Essendon to replace Lloyd 5-10 years ago (C Johns etc).

With Gold Coast you can see the potential for them to 'step up' into the Top echelon of teams. Carlton you simply can't. I will be extremely impressed if Mick can get a Top 4 finish out of that list.

  6. Thoroughly 'meh' up to this point in his career.

Needs really strong guidance from the next coaching team.

Unfortunately for Sam I think he will only ever be a 'bit' player with that dashing handball receive, a la Davey. He needs more tricks or will end up on the scrapheap.

  7. Port Adelaide were flaky for years under Williams. Adelaide were probably underperforming for the last couple of years under Neil Craig. Both were sacked, so they obviously ran out of steam at their clubs. The difference is that Craig is familiar with our club, and can make the hard calls immediately.

I'm sure Mark Williams is doing a great job as an assistant, but so did Mark Neeld.

God I'm sick of disapproving this. Williams was an excellent coach between 2001-04; three minor premierships and a premiership. You don't know what flaky is.

  8. I heard Choco speak at a GWS Coterie function two years ago. He was absolutely sensational.

He is a fantastic communicator in a footy environment - bloody funny, has a bucket of larrikin war stories as long as your arm, clearly a wealth of football experience - and he undoubtedly knows how to control the sheds/motivate players/create a bullet proof culture.

I really hope he's our coach at the end of this year.

The case for Roos is compelling, but I don't think his heart is in it.

Choco would inspire something this club has lacked for far too long - PASSION. For the first time in living memory, the MFC may actually develop a personality/some character.

    My wish list:

I think you're a good poster RB - but what's the obsession with Junior McDonald? He doesn't have the runs on the board.

  9. Great work Stuie, I love it.

I kinda like our current one; certainly don't love it. Far too busy and I know our history is amazing and all but incorporating it all visually wasn't the best idea in hindsight.

  10. You have got to be kidding.

He is a grown man and is meant to be professional.

I don't care what personal issues they had, keep this crap to yourself and don't be a tossbag.

I am far from Neeld's biggest fan, but he is still a human being with kids and a wife and he went in and did what he thought was best, regardless of whether it was or wasn't.

Brent Moloney behaving like a petulant child right now somehow vindicates Neeld's position, which is probably the opposite of what Moloney was trying to achieve.

    Not too smart is Brent.

BM was not the greatest player in the league, but he was one of our best midfielders and was a lifelong Dees supporter. Just imagine if some twitchy [censored] came in and tore shreds off you, demoted you and sent you packing from the club you loved?

Not everything is so black and white Jaded. Mark Neeld and Brent Moloney are no angels, but the fact remains Moloney was treated like [censored].
