  1. Thanks demonland. I’m the person requesting the info. I just have to finish off my premiership sleeve. My realism artist where I live on the Gold Coast has left the country. I’m here in Melbourne until Tuesday so I thought I might find somewhere to get it completed. If anyone has a good realism artist let me know. I’ll send a photo of the work I have had done so far.
  2. From some knowledge of Lennon as a junior, I would surmise that the issue is personality/attitude rather than related to football ability.
  3. Was a full reconstruction. You don’t just get a cleanup after you dislocate your shoulder. You need a stabilisation procedure which is otherwise known as a “shoulder reconstruction”. Usually involves a keyhole (arthroscopic) repair of the labrum. 4 month rehab process minimum before return to play. If he had it done just before the end of the season, he is still miles away from full training.
  4. That would seem reasonably fair.
  5. Trading for Prestia is a gamble. Every club pursuing him would have performed their "due diligence" and would be fully aware of his medical issues. The unknown is how his knee will bounce back and whether or not he will have any longevity in the game. I will not go into detail about his specific problem, but either Dion will make an excellent recovery and the knee will stand up to the rigours of AFL football for a number of years with no functional decline, or he will develop ongoing issues and never return to his best. If the risk that Richmond are taking pays off, they will look like geniuses. If it doesn't, they will look stupid. I would be staggered, however, if Richmond will need to give up pick 6 for Prestia. Gold Coast will know the risk Richmond are taking and the potential that he is "damaged goods". That clearly reduces his currency and I doubt Richmond would be foolish enough to waste pick 6 on a gamble as big as this one. Gold Coast will make noise and publicly make high demands to appease their supported base, but the reality is that I doubt they have much of a leg to stand on when push comes to shove at the negotiating table.
  6. I watched him play in 4 NEAFL games this year and disposal was immaculate. I made observations/comments during these games to others about his beautiful disposal. Granted this was at NEAFL level, but no reason to think it couldn't translate to AFL level as he gains experience. I haven't seen a lot of GWS at AFL level to comment on his disposal there, but I would imaging the reason for your appraisal is probably due to poor execution under greater pressure at AFL level. I can guarantee you, however, that his fundamental kicking skills are excellent. As he gains more AFL experience, I would expect execution under pressure and decision making to continue to improve. For the record, I thought he was BOG in 3 of those 4 games and in the best 5 players in the other game. I could not understand how he wasn't playing in their AFL side.
  7. Haven't read this thread, but I only just heard this story reading posts on P1 and thought "what a stupid thing for Dermie to pick on... [censored]!"
  8. Who gives a rats if players are seen laughing at recovery. Has anyone ever seen recovery? It isn't exactly a gut wrenching session. By Dermie's reckoning, no Melbourne player should ever be allowed to laugh until we win a game???
  9. Pathetic selection changes. But who cares. Won't make any difference so firetruck it. May as well select no-one.
  10. Do I have to wait until after the final siren to slash my wrists or can do it now B)
  11. Apologies. Title didn't alert me.
  12. Debateable http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2013-03-27/melbourne-to-have-first-all-female-team (note to females - tongue in cheek )
  13. The papers also didn't have the word "we" in their article when talking about the MFC. They don't get emotional about a team they love. I'm allowed to get upset mate. Don't think that makes me a troll.
  14. So you were there mate? How good were we then? I am a disappointed member. You can make your own judgement as to how good we were when you watch a game.
  15. With all due respect, I am taking notice. Practice matches are there to practice the game plan. We still seem not to have one. We had absolutely no structure. We have the worst midfield in the comp. I don't see how that will improve with the inclusion of Viney and an underdone Trengove for Rd 1 (Trengove no certainty to play anyhow for the 1st month). Today was not good enough.
  16. Guys, we were very poor today. Pathetic actually. I was there. I don't see how we can finish anywhere but bottom of the table. We were smashed for most of the day. The Suns game plan was better than ours and we looked totally lost. We were unable to hit targets in perfect conditions with almost no breeze. We were smashed in the stoppages after qtr time. We could not rebound from D50. We made rookie errors and didn't support our team-mates. I was actually quite embarrassed. I'm speechless. We were putrid!!
  17. F - St - Sp - tot 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 to 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 Key F = fractures St = muscle Strains Sp = ligament Sprains tot = total injuries
  18. Sensational day here on the Coast. Light breeze, blue skies. Should be a good final hit out and a great day to watch footy.
  19. We did draft a Smith, and people on this site got his name so mixed up, it kept appearing as 426. Even the club website seemed to get it wrong every week for a couple of years when listing his name...
  20. The current premiers and best in the business at getting the most out of delisted players have delisted him... Does that mean anything?
  21. Don't think I know the Titans A lot to learn. Gold Coast?
  22. Hi guys. I'll be moving to Brisbane for work late this coming January just for a year. I'll have to learn a bit about rugby league, as I will be working for the Broncos. But I'm still a demon and would love to meet you guys at some point, maybe watch some games. Keep me in mind! Pringle
  23. http://www.getoffdrugs.com.au/ Good luck Rolly. Hope you find the link helpful. We'll all be behind you 100% in your recovery!
  24. Fitzpatrick was BLOODY IMPRESSIVE today and has impressed me every time I have seen him over the past three years of VFL footy (in comparison to his expected output level at the time). Next year I would be expecting regular AFL level footy. His body is a poofteenth away from being big enough. His footy is a poofteenth away from being AFL ready. I'd be aiming for round 1 next year if I was him and I'm looking forward to a solid career supporting Clark (maybe even overtaking him) as a key forward for the Dees. We could easily go from rags to riches if those two fire up forward over the next couple of years. In this age of forwards becoming backup ruckmen, Fitzy, Clarke and Jamar/Martin/Watts/?Gawn suddenly look adequate to impressive as a ruck/forward division (I do not count Jamar as a forward as he is not a forward's a...hole, nor Watts as a ruckman or 'key' forward... just talking abut that area of tall forwards and rucks possibly being covered. And please please please please can we please get rid of Spencer. Not worth persisiting with. Will never make it. Has one attribute... height.
