Building a Foundation

Featured Replies

We are going to be not so good for a year or two and i just hope the following things are done in this time:

Firstly, we need to build a culture where mediocre performances are not accepted.

Second when need to recruit/draft a FF, CHF, Ruckmen (Natanui) hopefully, CHB (Rivers but also a back up in case of injury) and a Full Back. We need at least two of each.

Then we need to recruit/ draft some speedy players with good ball skills that just love to run run run. Not like lazy aaron davey.

I just hope the good draft picks arnt given to the new teams while were at the bottom!

Yes Aaron was terrible but it looked fitness related to me. He had hands on hips and was stuffed in the 2nd Q. None of them looked fit and that would explain alot.

And what's the name of the new fitness guru? You know the one Geelong got rid of before getting on its way to a premiership.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
