Now I did say in some earlier topics that Colin Garland would be a star.

Going off the Geelong game i am fairly sure that if given the opportunities this year he will excel as i expected.

He kicked two goals and an awesome super goal and looked to be the only melbourne forward capable of taking it to Geelong.

He has height and strength and maybe is what we need this year. This is not forgetting he played last year down back for Sandringham in the VFL.

So forward or back he can cover us. :P What does everyone think ?

Ok.. so hes gonna be a star based on last weeks game... right....

No. not based on last weeks game but as i said he looked promising and also looked like the only melbourne forward being remotely dangerous and he can also play backline which is a bonus. I think in time he will be a star or at least a quality player if given game time.

I think he will carve out an AFL career

No chance of being a star though

Yeah i hope he carves out a career because he is a top bloke :P I think it depends on his confidence aswell as being given game time because he is tall athletic and strong so he could become a kpp for us in the future.

So is he a star or a top bloke or both? This thread makes my head hurt

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
