Contact between Carlton's Anthony Koutoufides and Melbourne's Paul Wheatley from the third quarter of Sunday's match was reviewed and it was the view of the panel that Koutoufides was tackled and lost possession of the ball. While he was being held by a Melbourne player, he simultaneously extended his arm and leg in an attempt to tackle Wheatley. The action was seen as a legitimate attempt to tackle in the circumstances.
