Firstly, before I start I am up for criticism, and expect some for my views on players like Brad Green, and in my 2nd list Miller, and Sylvia to create some controversy. However if I was coach of Melbourne these are the two lists i would have infront of me.

I am going to write up two lists. The first is our most important players NOW. (I struggled after the first 5)

1. David Neitz

2. Brock Mclean

3. Jeff White(dont really like him as a player, but if he doesnt play we could not beat any team in the comp.)

4. Cameron Bruce

5. James Mcdonald

6. Jarred Rivers

7. Travis Johnstone

8. Russel Robertson

9. Matthew Whelan

10. Aaron Davey

11. Nathan Caroll

12. Nathan Jones

13. Byron Pickett

14. Nathan Jones(like to have this boy further up)

15. Brad Green(perhaps a bit harsh, but IMO an up-hill skier)

16. Matty Bate

17. Brent Moloney

18. Daniel Bell

19. Colin Sylvia

20. Paul Wheatley

21. Clint Bizzel

22. Brad Miller

23. Ricky Petterd

24. Clint Bartram

25. Paul Johnson

26. Ben Holland

27. Simon Godfrey

28.Lynden Dunn

29. Daniel Ward

30. Adem Yze

31. Chrus A. Johnson

32. Nathan Brown

33. Ryan Ferguson

34 Mark Jamar

35 Simon Buckley

36 Michael Newton

37 Matthew Warnock

(I'm not going to list these boys because at the moment I dont really know)

37. Jace Bode

14. Colin Garland

17. Daniel Hayes

19. Daniel Hughes

29. Shane Neaves

31. Heath Neville

40. Isaac Weetra

* Note that Neither Paul Johnson/Mark Jamar are in our best 22, but are selected weekly just because we need a 2nd ruckman

My second List is a list of ability/potential- I AM ONLY LISTING BLOKES THAT UNLESS TRADED WILL BE AT THE CLUB FOR THE NEXT 3-5 YEARS

1. Brock Mclean

2. Colin Sylvia (see pre-season last year)

3. Brad Miller (see game against collingwood a few years ago)

4. Jarred Rivers

5. Travis Johnstone

6. Nathan Jones

7. Cameron Bruce

8. Matthew Bate

9. Brent Moloney (see glimpses of career)

10. Ricky Pettard

11. James Frawley

12. Daniel Bell

13. Nathan Caroll(will cop it for this one)

14. Brad Green

15. Lynden Dunn

16. Matty Whelan

17. Clint Bartram

18. Paul Wheatley

19. Paul Johnson

20. Chris Johnson

21. Mark Jamar

22. Michael Newton

23. Simon Buckley

(I am not going to list the rest despite the fact that they may be there in 3-5 years, because I do not know enough about them)

* Note our ruckline is SHOCKING

* We lack 1/2 good key position players

I agree with most of your lineup they seem to be all around the correct order.

The only I would comment about would be Brad Green for potential.

I think he would be in our top 10.

His left foot can hit any target if he puts his mind to it. And in the past couple of weeks you have seen some of the great marks he has taken in our backline which might of saved the game for us.

But for personal opinion I will have Daniel Bell for number 1 for each followed closely by brocky cause those 2 players are just awesome.

Dont have a go at me though I will wake up soon

I'd love to have a look at doing this again when everyone is up, firing and fit because I'd imagine players like Bartram would be much, much, much higher.

Also, you forgot Frawley in the 'now' list. Maybe too early to say?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
