Hi DG35, I have one of each. Ironically it's my daughter that is footy keen and my son doesn't like it all. Sadly into USA basketball with all its boring round ball predictably and running back and forth. No tackles, banana kicks and speckies .

He plays the B.b. so I I try to understand. Oh the heartache. I'll have to work hard with his son if he has one, to ensure the family misery of MFC support is passed on as my father did for me.

The father daughter days at the Mcg have been some of my fondest memories with my beautiful daughter.

For some of us blokes that find it difficult to talk or relate to daughters at times, footy is a great bonding experience. As it for a lot of families.

I don't get how families can do the same at Soccer in the UK with it's hooligan elements. I've watched it on occasion and while sometimes exciting, I don't think this game game is enthralling enough to maintain the crowd's focus enough. Hence the agro. Or some other reason beyond comprehension . So we are lucky in this country to have such a great sport and culture of civility. Well most of the time.

Aussie Aussie Aussie.

Go Dees

I’m glad you have the footy bond with your daughter!

With my family it’s the women who are footy demons crazy!

My son who’s nearly 17 months is becoming obsessed with the dees too!

How good was the win!?

Up the deeeeeees!!!
