Agreed.......plus everyone saying bring in Frawley like he is some great white hope!

More to the point, Frawley is being touted as a key back when he's still only 82kg. That's the same mass as Greeny but the young bloke's 9cm taller. He's thinner than Fergs ever was, to put things in perspective.

I thought Ward was just going, but wasn't our worst. I'd drop him for the simple reason he can't be the future of the club. Simple as that.

Also, I can see where you're coming from with Dunn. But surely we must persevere with him. He may not have owned a game yet, but he's certainly showing encouraging signs, and some impressive flashes.

I really hope that Bell makes it as a footballer but the more I see him the more unlikely it seems. Makes too many mistakes and a total lack of vision.

Moving right along...

Ferg, Miller, Brown and Ward SHOULD be dropped. But I've lost all confidence in anyone at MFC doing the right thing there.

Robbo and Rivers if he's fit and montys to return. But from there I get confused... they're not a tall side the Roos, so what do we do? Put in a couple of talls to expose them? Or make sure our running defenders are bolstered?

I'm of the opinion this is really one we can win, and if you CAN put Juice in, now is the time against a side that, while they're in good form, are NOT a great list and have one or two injury exposures.

So, assuming McLean is fit I'd LOVE to see him in the side, but from what I hear he may need to play 2 out of 4 quarters, or maybe 3 before he can be relied upon for the full four. As good as he is, I don't think we can afford to carry him in that way. So have him run around at Sandy (if it's good enough for Robbo, it's good enough for Brock), and look on it as a positive step.

Frawley could come in, as he's had his go at Sandy. While I'm sure he could use one more week, we DO need quality talls, even if they're a bit young.

So for me it's Rivers, Robbo, Newton and Frawley... Miller and Juice to play through CHF, Neitz and Robbo deep, and Dunn on the wing or on the back flank. Juice has a big engine, and we'll lose little in terms of pace.

Honestly though, I doubt Neale will go with 5 big tall forwards, so it's not gonna happen. Brock probably WILL play as he's shown he can bounce back from injury, and play a blinder.

In other news, I'm looking forward to Beamer and Bartram getting games before too long. They'll be VERY important when they return.

In: McLean, Robertson, Rivers

Out: Ferguson, Miller, Brown

Obvious and good ins

Miller should be dropped. He is almost the anti-frontrunner if that makes sense. Only plays well when we are doing crap. When I mean he plays well I mean he works hard and takes marks but they are up the field anyay and are meaningless. Ferguson will be delisted at seasons end as will Brown. Ward is doing enough to keep his spot, I dont mind him. Put Bate at CHF

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed.
