In the last couple of years I've revisited this old hobby that was dormant for too long.

Lately I've been heading down Point Cook, Shoreham way for some pretty gentle waves. Keen to hear from any other Keen surfers on good spots or even some board advice. Currently using an 8 foot foamy.

    Realised I made a big error in the above post as well. I meant Point Leo and not Point Cook, this is NOT a mistake I would usually make and was probably sleep deprived! 

    Anyway, got down to Gunnamatta on Saturday morning and it was a treat. Clean waves and really consistent with that SW swell and East-North easterly off shore wind. It was almost too consistent and it made it hard to paddle out as you'd keep getting bashed with solid 1 to 2 foot waves (lots of duck diving). Got a lot of reps in though which was great compared to a Flinders and Shoreham a month ago when I probably caught 5 waves for the whole weekend. 

    Would love to chat with some other surfers, no matter what level.
