Bo Nixon gets 6 weeks

Bo Nixon has been suspended for 6 weeks for elbowing Lynden Dunn in the practice match against Port Melbourne..seeing as though Dunn will be out for a similar length of time the 6 week suspension is justified..

I still can't believe that a player in any grade of football would deliberately elbow an opponent in the face...

I don't know how it would work in the VFL, even with the suspension there should be some appropriate level of restitution. The mentality behind such an act worries me, and I would think irrespective of the views of the VFL or the club, that such an act borders on criminal behaviour and should be investigated by police.

Justice served.

The AFL could learn a lot from the VFL tribunal. They always seem to hand out much fairer sentences.

Completely agree grazman, how can a player be deemed to deliberately elbow (and brake) a competitors head, and not go before the higher authorities.

Mongrels like this keep our upcomers out of out great game.

Not acting severely enough encourages, as Mordja said, repercussions. Who does that benefit?
