He will come in and play 22 games next year, and, barring injury and that, he could come in play AFL footy today and look really comfortable. He is a ready-made player. He is like the old man, in terms of being a raging bull. No disrespect to the old man, he was a bloody hard player to play on, but Jack's got a couple of extra dimensions. He's certainly got that sideways movement and evasive skills. And he's fearless. You need those hard nuts who can go and distribute but he's not just a distributor, he can go and deliver it as well - AIS/AFL academy coach Michael O'Loughlin

Well timed Demonland.

A more positive forum than Caro & Schwabby.

I personally can't wait for Round 1 to see Jack run out in the Red & Blue.

What I have seen of him in Junior footy and at Casey makes me salivate at the thought of what he could do with a bit more support around him in the AFL. He will benefit a hell of a lot more from this pre-season, as will a lot of the other remaining players.

I just can't remember a mid fielder for Melbourne since his old man, that has the courage and strength to tear through packs the way he does. Bring on 2013

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week. WAYNE RUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS No Ollie, Chin, Riv today, but Rick & Spargs turned up and McDonald was there in casual attire.     A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
